5 out of 5 eggsWhat can I say? It's a backplate..

Pros: It's a backplate... it looks better then the PCB in my opinion.
helps a bit with temps

Cons: ..it didn't come standard with evga's 980ti

Other Thoughts: really should have come pre-installed with the GPU's it's designed for.. especially since the card already costs $650+
it's does help alittle with temps. noticed temps don't climb nearly as fast and hovers around 2-5 degrees lower then before I put it on. having alittle more air flow directed at it would probably help cool the card alot more.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks perfect

Pros: The game runs flawless on my computer (i5 4670k, 16gb RAM). Albeit my monitor is 1600x900 currently prior-additional monitor purchase, the graphics card has yet to stutter on anything most likely because of 6GB of vRAM. All games (AAA) run at max settings easily.

Performs very quitely and low temps (31-33° C idle).
I don't hear any coil whine even putting my ear right up against the computer.

Cons: I have yet to see any cons with the card whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: I recommend this card for anyone who wants to go all out in the thought of having a solid investment for some years to come without purchasing another graphics card.

5 out of 5 eggsBackplate for EVGA 980Ti

Pros: Alright, So I am not one to normally do reviews on any products I buy good or bad which is not the best practice since I use reviews on a daily basis to make most of my buying decisions BUT this backplate truly deserved some kind of recognition. I purchased a EVGA 980Ti around 2 months ago and absolutely love it I had the core clock stable at 1622mhz with no increase to voltage and the memory clock at 3765mhz. Running valley benchmark for 24 hours I was hitting between 70-75C which I really was alright with. Originally the only reason I purchased this backplate was for the "looks" but after installing it and running valley benchmark again to see if I would get any temp. drop with it I was astonished. I let my valley benchmark run for about an hour and usually by then the card was maxed out on the temp and that is where it would stay but after the backplate install I noticed I was staying steady at 60-65C. At first I thought program error so i checked it with a few different temp. monitors and got the same results. SO in my circumstance I saw a 10C drop in the temp. Without a doubt the best 25 bucks I ever spent, took 5 minutes to install.

Cons: This isn't really a con but I wish it had come with my 980Ti but I tend to purchase stock clocked models to do the work myself instead of going with the already OCed versions that came with the backplate.

Other Thoughts: System Specs:
CPU: Intel i7 4790K @ 4.6Ghz
CPU Cooler: Corsair H110i GTX
Mobo: Asus Hero VII Z97
RAM: Gskill TridentX 16GB DDR3 2400
PSU: Corsair HX1000I
GFX Card: EVGA 980Ti
Case: Corsair 750D full tower.

5 out of 5 eggsLooks nice, Reinforces card.

Pros: Looks nice, slightly lower temperatures, easy install.

Cons: Just that i had to buy it separately instead of having it included with my card.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you have a tiny Phillips screwdriver before you try to remove the old screws and install the new ones. They are very small.
