5 out of 5 eggsIt works for Eyefinity Video Cards

Pros: I saw many reviews of this adapter, some of them telling you that it does not work. IT WORKS; however, you need to set it up correctly, if not, it is not going to work. You need to use the right cables(IMPORTANT). In my case I have a AMD 6670 videocard, it has a display port (a must for a 3 monitor set up), a DVI and a HDMI. This adapter was conected to the display port. That was my first monitor(display port to DVI). The second monitor was DVI(from video card) to VGA(old monitor). The third monitor(HDTV 40") was just a HDMI from video card to HDMI to TV.

Cons: It's a bit expensive to have a 3 monitor set up. It's not for everyone. Plus you need to have all cables and adapters ready.

5 out of 5 eggsCouldn't be happier

Pros: Worked right out of the box for me on a Radeon 6670 connected to an HP 2311x. Plug in, go, simple.

I had been pretty frustrated after buying a cheap "passive" adapter cable at another retailer--not only did it not work for multiple monitors, it wouldn't even run ONE monitor.

This adapter here has allowed me to use both my HP monitors and free up the HDMI slot on the video card to display to a TV at the same time--running 3 displays now at 1920x1080 with no problems. Tickled pink.

Cons: Packaging was weak--it came in a slightly smushed box. Cable itself is... kind of stiff. Can you tell I'm grasping at straws here?

1 out of 5 eggswaste of money

Pros: none

Cons: Doesn't work with any one of my 6 monitors, none supported. Complete waste of money. wait for nvidia to make an eyefinity equivalent, atleast then they wont make you buy useless cables.

Other Thoughts: not the first cable ive tried, gone through three. dont waste your money.

1 out of 5 eggsDied on first day and out of return period :(

Pros: it was the cheapest adapter on newegg

Cons: I bought this a month ago and didn't get a chance to have my other component for the system until last night.
I put my computer together. and it worked for an hour like it should, I did a reset to my system and the thing never worked right again. It's not my error as I have another similiar system with same video card just different brand of eyefinity adapter.

this one is now faulty where one monitor attached to it is not detecting the entire resolution and it runs at 30hz instead of 60hz.

Other Thoughts: Unfortunately this is 3 days past the newegg return date. I have to now deal with the manufacturer. I hope they are responsive and not going to drag this for two to three weeks...

1 out of 5 eggsI guess I was lucky

Pros: It worked with my setup (two 5870's) now for well over a year. Been running 5760x1080 for basically the same amount of time.

Cons: Just like other reviews said, in the Eyefinity setup, the monitor occasionally goes into Standby mode after exiting fullscreen applications. No big deal, about ~2-3 seconds lost total, but still - not perfect.

This week, I began having Eyefinity problems. After about 2 days of investigation, I found the problem.

The adapter is dead.

Other Thoughts: I bought this a long time ago when there were no reviews. It to this point, worked sufficiently for about ~14 months. The adapter still technically works - just not as an "Active" adapter anymore (Eyefinity will no longer work).

My two cents - instead of buying this one, go to AMD's website and search for "Eyefinity Validated Dongles". There you can find an adapter that WILL work, and is backed by AMD. You will not find this one, nor any of the Sapphire, Powercolor, or XFX adapters are on that list. Buyer beware.

Personally, I ordered the "B087B-005B" (search that in Newegg) single-link adapter. It only costs about ~8$ more, is AMD certified, and has a 2 year warranty to boot. Worth the extra little bit of cash if you ask me.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as it should

Pros: Simply works.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Ordered four of these, actually by mistake as I meant to order miniDisplay Port to DVI. My video card, however, came with enough MDP to DP adapters to make these work in Eyefinity 6.
