5 out of 5 eggsEyefinity!

Pros: Does what it's supposed to.

Cons: Pricey...

Other Thoughts: Bought this to hook up my 3rd LCD for triple 22" LCDs/Eyfinity on my Radeon HD7850...worked like a charm.

5 out of 5 eggsExactly what I needed

Pros: I've been using this for > 1 year in an eyefinity setup and it works great! My resolution is 5760x1080p! Easy plug and play setup. Never had any issues with any screen that I have used it with.

Cons: No cons

1 out of 5 eggsBeware of faulty product

Pros: Easy to use. Efficient at its job while it did work

Cons: I used this for a little over a year and never moved it or touched it while it was being used. As of Sunday, it no longer works and I'm left with a useless monitor. Like many others who have left reviews here, it looks like I am out of luck and simply stuck with a low quality product that has ran its course. I tried emailing the support employees who have posted below and have gotten no response.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

As all of our products have a two year warranty period, you would still be within warranty for this adapter. Please submit an RMA with us on our website, http://powercolor.com/us/members_login_2.asp?url=support_rmaservice.asp, in order to have the adapter replaced under warranty. If you still require additional support, please feel free to contact us directly at 626-330-4700 or by email at usa@powercolor.com.

Thank you,

PowerColor Support.

1 out of 5 eggsDo. Not. Buy. This.

Pros: If and when it works, triple monitor setup.

Cons: I bought this adapter awhile ago and felt the need to return and warn people of it. It worked at first, maybe a month, then it would work and then stop, causing my monitors go from 3 to 2.

Some times if I used a game, or used a program that would fill all three screens, after closing the resolution would be completely off, like working on a VGA monitor.

To fix this, I would have to constantly unplug and then replug the adapter in until the resolution returned to the highest resolution possible (not able to change it in settings). If that didn't fix it, I'd be forced to restart my computer and even that wouldn't always resolve it.

I had completely forgot about the adapter after one of my monitors had died, but being I had replaced all 3 with newer models, I thought i'd give it another try. Sadly, its only become worse.

When I had first purchased the adapter and made my first post about it, the companies tech agent contacted me in hopes to resolve the issue, but after only a few e-mails back and forth he was no longer returning mine even though the issue had never been resolved.

Other Thoughts: All I can say is, if you're going to spend the $50, you might as well go for a well known company that makes these types of adapters, you might end up spending another $50 but at least you'll have a piece of hardware thats working as its intended to, instead of frustrating the hell out of you any time you try to use all 3 monitors at the same time.

Save the money, go bigger, it'll be worth it in the long run.

Manufacturer Response:

I apologize for the issues you've experienced with our product and our services. This is unlike us. Please contact me directly at jgaray@powercolor.com and I will assure with confidence that I will have this rectified for you.

Thank you,

Jonathan

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not work as advertised

Pros: None

Cons: Item does not function correctly.

Other Thoughts: The adapter does not function correctly. It does not pass the EDID of the display to the graphics card correctly. Any monitor connected to this adapter has no ability to adjust it's resolution until you force it via graphics card drivers.

You can not RMA this product via the PowerColor website as it does not have a serial number. Customer support is polite however offering to replace a $25 product with the requirement of ~1 hour of busy work navigating through support channels + $10 of shipping is a waste of time and money.

Better to chose a different solution.

Manufacturer Response:

It may have been me who you spoke with. Please contact me again so I can get you patched up on a replacement DP->DVI adapter. My email is jgaray@powercolor.com.

Thank you,

Jonathan

1 out of 5 eggsGood Until It Failed

Pros: Was great while it worked.

Cons: Died really fast. Now I have a high a great graphics card and 3 monitors that cannot be used the way I want to. Won't be buying any more powercolor products if this is how there quality is. Warranty is too short and confusing to RMA.

Manufacturer Response:

If you are having issues with our product, please feel free to contact me directly at jgaray@powercolor.com and I will be happy to assist you with getting the unit replaced under warranty.

Thank you,

Jonathan

5 out of 5 eggsIt works.

Pros: This is a DVI-D Single Link Adapter. If your running 1920X1080 This is all you need. Much cheaper than the $100 unit which is Dual Link. Dual Link only necessary if each monitor is about 1920X1200.

Cons: None so far. Hopefully it will last.
