5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: -Compact. Did not expect the device to take up as little space as it did.
-Plug and use. Worked completely out of the box with no errors.

I hooked up my 2010 MBP to 1 Acer S323HL Abid 23" and 1 Acer S232HL Bbid 23" monitor and was immediately impressed. So much more desktop space. Some of my old desktop backgrounds even looked great. Didn't use *that* much power.

Cons: -Did however required you to have 2 DVI-D cords lying around, but that was okay because somehow I did.
-For older MBPs it takes away the use of a USB port. For many, this doesn't present as a problem but for someone who uses multiple devices requiring 500 mA power output I had to purchase a powered usb hub. Which, in retrospect, I needed so...I'm still happy with my purchase overall.

Other Thoughts: Other than taking away the use of one of my USB hubs I really have no complaints. I'm making use of a MBP I bought four years ago and couldn't be happier at the moment. That is...until I upgrade.

1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't work!

Pros: Theoretically can support 2 monitors

Cons: After 2 months doesn't work!

Other Thoughts: Bought one few months ago and it worked for about a month. Then I installed DisplayFusion and it was constantly conflicting with that. Maximizing various applications like YouTube was outright broken (it would stretch over 2 screens).

Then it just stopped working completely. No power light, nothing... tried everything, plugging into different ports, re installing drivers, making sure my usb is powered, trying different computer, etc. Couldn't find any solutions online or manual, guess I just threw away $170.

Buy at your own risk.

5 out of 5 eggsOSX Mavericks Beware

Pros: Just hooked this up to my Mac Mini with 2 Acer S275HL . If your running OSX Mavericks prepare to lose that new feature for having the menus on both monitors. This device basically takes to a 3000 pixel display and divides the feed in 2.

Cons: Had to move the dock to the side b/c the bottom isnt really the bottom, and when you go to Launchpad or hit CMD+TAB it gets split across your monitors.

Other Thoughts: But overall, dealing with that is well worth with it to have 2 monitors running off the Thunderbolt instead of 1 here and 1 HDMI producing different colors.

5 out of 5 eggsLOVE IT...YAY, MORE TOYS

Pros: Everything, I need the real estate for the work I do. I use a Macbook Pro and an Alienware...I have a couple of these(different models) and just a tech kinda guy...BTW...NEWEGG ROCKS, been a customer for A LONG TIME :D

Cons: Wish I wasn't a sucker for

Other Thoughts: Remember, technology CAN BE TRICKY/FAULTY...if it doesn't work then
A) You did not do your research
B) You do not know what you are doing
C) Defective Product/bad cables/or some other issue
D) All the above
Just having issues here :D

5 out of 5 eggsExcelent Product

Pros: Very simple to use. Worked out of the box with no setup required. Includes all needed cables. Compact hardware.

Cons: Mac software not on CD. Requires USB port for power.

Other Thoughts: Thunderbolt and Mini Display ports supply power so there's no real reason to require a separate power source. That being said, why use USB to power the unit? I would much prefer a dedicated power source so as not to consume a port on my computer. Aside from that (admittedly minor) gripe, this thing is great!
