Hauppauge takes their legendary TV tuner technology to the next level with the HVR-1250. The card takes advantage of the bandwidth of the PCIe x1 interface to deliver rock solid HD video to your screen. It has a hybrid tuner supporting NTSC analog, ATSC and Clear QAM digital signals.
The card is compatible with Windows Media Center so you can use the card without installing any extra software. Or you can use WinTV's Scheduler function to automatically record your favorite TV shows. WinTV also lets you record the show you are watching with one click.

Pros: I purchased one of these cards 6 months ago for my HTPC/MythTV system, using for Over-The-Air ATSC content. The card was recognized automagically in Fedora 9, and configuration in MythTV was painless. I put it in my PCIe x1 slot, and am getting a second for my unused PCIe x16 slot (since my MB has video support on it already). Since I don't need a cable tuner, this board is perfect.
Cons: I've noticed the tuner is a bit sensitive, but a fringe antenna on the roof took care of that. My first board didn't have the IR remote, and I have heard that the IR remote isn't yet supported under Linux.
Other Thoughts: As I'm now out of PCIe slots, I'll have to get regular PCI boards for any additional tuners. Also, for cable you may want a different board with better Linux support

Pros: It works! Does what it says! Not complicating! Software works very well.
Cons: Vista Ultimate media center does not support clear QAM yet, but just use WinTV program that comes with it.
Other Thoughts: This device allows me to receive the unencrypted HDTV channels coming through my cable provider without the setup box just as it says it would on the box. I have not tried a digital/hdtv antenna yet just because the clear QAM works so well. Remote control works well with vista ultimate, I just can't wait until it supports clear QAM!
Note: I am running asus m2a-vm, amd x2 4800+, integrated graphics dvi/vga, 2gb memory, and HP w2007 monitor (HDTV look awesome using dvi on this!) Not the best system for gaming, but HD content seems to work well on it.

Pros: Put in for a $10 rebate at the beginning of October. Got the rebate in the middle of November. Good turnaround for this. Rebate was in a the form of a cheque, not a *&@%^ prepaid credit card.
Tuners have been working great in my Myth TV box.
Cons: .

Pros: Worked Great with my AM2 motherboard and differnt software than what they send.
Cons: Keeps making my system hang with AM3 (amd 790 chip) mothervoard and vista. win7 loads but i cant tune anything with the card. shows up under device manager but not as a tuner card (both OS's). i tryed new drivers from Hauppauge and still hangs my system with vista and wont do anything in win7 which they now claim to support.
tried 3 differnt PCI-E slots and same thing. as soon as i pull the card everything works great, i really dont see how it could be the motherboard because my vid card is PCI-E and it works great.
there software also is terrible and the remote they send never worked.
Other Thoughts: Looks like i need to find a card not made by hauppauge!

Pros: It works, no problems installing under Win7 64-bit, good picture and sound, remote works
Cons: The application leaves MUCH to be desired. Much less functionality than my prior experience with ATI's TV tuner products. Scanning for channels took about 20 minutes (for only ~65 channels), which was shockingly slow. Big complains are not being able to hide the title bar of the window, not being able to lock an aspect ratio to make sizing faster, not being able to control the volume with the scroll wheel of the mouse, and not being able to snap the window to the start menu or sides of the screen. Also, there is no guide or functionality to download name's of channel titles.
Other Thoughts: Considering returning/selling to get an ATI product.
