5 out of 5 eggsUse two of these every week

Pros: Easy to use with USB.
S-Video option.
Price.
Works with UStream "Producer" software.

Cons: Noisy audio

Other Thoughts: I have two of these plugged in to two different camcorders that I have used for the last year to live broadcast our church services on UStream using their "producer pro" software. The cameras are 16x9 standard def, but still provide a "good enough" video. (We can't get enough outgoing bandwidth here to stream HD anyway.)

I'm pulling audio from the main sound board, but was fighting a high-pitched white noise. Even though I wasn't using the capture card's audio input, it was still active in the producer software. I found where to turn off the capture card audio in each scene and the noise problem was fixed.

I did have to install an extra PCI-USB card (inexpensive) to get enough USB bandwidth to run two cameras at once. That is nothing on the capture card, just FYI if you are looking at a similar setup with more than one camera.

The capture cards work very well, and it's nice they work with the UStream software as well.

With two of these capture cards, two older cameras (purchased used), and the UStream software, I'm able to make a fairly nice broadcast without a lot of expense.

5 out of 5 eggsHauppauge USB-Live-2 Video Capture

Pros: Good product, works well, does what it states.

Cons: Non really, although for higher end video capture and editing one should consider a better interface than USB such as PCI-E or the like.

Other Thoughts: Odd thing, when updating software the original installation cd is required to verify ownership, so definitely hold on to original package material!

5 out of 5 eggsWorked

Pros: Worked, Plugged into a usb port with windows 7 and was recognized as a floppy disc drive in Windows. Not much to say all ready ran 150+ disc in it pulling the data off to burn to CD, was quieter (still made plenty of noise) then the floppy drive in my old dell i use to have or at least seem that way.

Cons: Kinda of cheap feeling but can't dock a egg because it does the job. No Bacon

Other Thoughts: Fast Shipping as all ways another testament to newegg
If you need a floppy but not on a daily basis can be easily unplugged and stored or if needed to be mobile.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks perfectly.

Pros: I bought this to record some older Xbox 360 gameplay videos and some family VHS tapes. Installed in Windows 7 without any issues, the capture software that came with it is about as simple and easy as it gets. I have captured hours of video now with no issue. The videos drag and drop directly into Windows Movie Maker for publishing etc.

Cons: None. Product does exactly what it's supposed to do.

Other Thoughts: I didn't try the S-video port because I don't have an s-video source.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: Works excellent for capturing video from old VHS tapes. I used the official included software to get the initial video captures, then I put them into Sony Vegas to edit them and convert them into many different formats. It's nice to be able to add effects like fading and to make the files much smaller than the original captures. Overall this is a very good product for the price...those old home movies are only getting older! Convert them before they're gone forever!!

Cons: None that I have encountered
