5 out of 5 eggsNice product.

Pros: Very easy way to have more than two monitors connected to a laptop. They work much better than expected in very high resolution (1600x1200). I have two of them connected to my laptop and they work together perfectly in different resolutions. Its nice to be able to switch them on/off individually from the taskbar.

Cons: They are not a crisp as a video card, and a bit less responsive, but its USB device but they perform better than I thought they would. Sometimes when I dock the laptop they don't work unless I undock and redock, but that only happens once in a while. As some other reviewers pointed out, the install is a little quirky.

Other Thoughts: I don't use these for any high performance video, They really aren't up for that. For console windows, browsers or documents they are great, and they work in high resolutions which is a super plus.

5 out of 5 eggsVery cool

Pros: Nice little product, does what it claims.
Simple installation.
Nice value

Cons: Little slow but it seems once i start working on the second monitor it speeds up after 4-5 seconds.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this so that i can have a third monitor for stock charts and just extra space for things. It works as i expected it to. Games definitely won't work on it but that is fine because i don't play games. Videos work o.k, but not something you'd want to use this for. Basically if you want to add an additional monitor to your PC to use for office applications or thing that that, you shouldn't be disappointed.

2 out of 5 eggsNot So Great

Pros: Installed Easily

Cons: A bit slow, but not a huge issue for me -- it ran fast enough for my use with Quickbooks and Outlook. But, the image quality of the display was poor. I didn't get it from Newegg, and I'm glad because I can take it back to somewhere else (where I paid more) and return it. The card generates a blurry display on the monitor. It's looks different than the output from my other monitor. Not much of a solution for me.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works exactly as stated, and is pretty easy to use for most users.

Cons: My first installation was a little quirky requiring me to uninstall then reinstall the driver software.

Other Thoughts: This device has so far saved two of my company's presentation laptops from the local electronics recycling center when their VGA outs died.

3 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Provides an option for connecting a second monitor through USB when no ports are available.

Cons: Performance is slow, jerky and unstable. Display lacked crispness. Drivers were out-of-date when it shipped and the manufacturer's website made it complicated to update.

Other Thoughts: A straight USB transfer is too slow for even a secondary display. Other options that include an external graphic card are cheaper and perform exceptionally. If you need a secondary display, I encourage you to keep looking!

4 out of 5 eggsWorks for the right needs

Pros: Allows you to add an additional monitor to a laptop or computer with no slots for an adaptor.

Cons: Response speed is limited by the USB connection.

Other Thoughts: USB2 is not fast enough to provide quick response to a monitor, especially when running higher resolutions and color depth. The other reviews pointed this out and I understood it going in. I use it with a Dell D430 laptop, where I am using 3 displays, the built in, another LCD hung on the VGA connector, and a third LCD driven by the Tritton. Installation was very easy, it came with the latest driver. The installation is stable (running XP). The response speed leaves a lot to be desired, but it's suitable for the business applications I run, especially e-mail. For most work I use the monitor on the VGA adaptor, the Tritton for Outlook, and the laptop display (quite small on a D430) to open programs, calculators, or a place to stash windows that are in the way. This works very well for me.
As usual NewEgg can't be beat, fast delivery.

2 out of 5 eggsRepeated Crashes

Pros: Allows laptop users to use widescreen monitors if MOBO doesn't support widescreen format.

Cons: When it works, it's great. Unfortunately my experience has been that it crashes my system every few minutes if I am also using the audio interface (or any other USB peripheral). So I'm getting used to seeing everything stretched sideways, because it isn't worth it to deal with the slowdowns and the crashes.

Other Thoughts: In the end, it would have been less frustrating to buy a new desktop unit that supports my snazzy new monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: Works great! Might be best to run the PC with a real monitor cable first, load the driver, put the USB cable in next, pick which way you want to run the USB video. But unit works fine.

Cons: Go to the company web site and get the latest driver for this thing. Install those drivers *BEFORE* plugging the USB cable into a USB port on the machine.

Other Thoughts: Will not show you the BIOS screen because the OpSys has to be up before the device starts working. User has to have reasonable expectations.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great!

Pros: This nifty device works as advertised for its reasonable price. I downloaded the latest drivers from the manufacturers website before plugging in the adapter, I rebooted the computer and plugged in the adapter. It quickly finished driver install and 2nd monitor was up and running. This product worked even though my laptop is operating on VGA Save due to a fried x600 mobility card. Static items displayed on the attached monitor are clear and sharp display.

Cons: This is a basic USB VGA adapter, works great for intended purpose, but obviously not for gaming or graphic intense applications. Moving items on the attached display and mouse movements are not exceptionally smooth.

Other Thoughts: My laptop's x600 video card is fried, and I lost ability to use 2nd monitor as well as most video functions on the primary display. I bought this device to be able to continue to use my laptop with 2nd monitor until I get around to buying / building a replacement. My next system will have a video card from the other major brand rather than brand A that made my x600 mobility card.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Works great. Quick and easy to setup, and the picture quality is good. I've purchased several other (and older) models before this one, which also worked well, but this one has worked the best.

Cons: It prompted me to install the drivers again and again for the few couple of re-starts. Not sure if it was because I had used an older model beforehand on the same computer, or if plugging it into different USB ports had any effect - but after a few restarts it stopped happening and has worked flawlessly since.
