I've been trying to put it to work for the last month and i keep getting the same error. UNKNOWN DEVICE. I've tried 1000 different tricks in order to fix it and i keep failing. Desperate...

Comments: My hub was not recognized by Windows XP Professional either, and there were no included instructions. Perhaps it needs a power input? There's a socket for power on on side...

Comments: Same problem as described above. I wonder if the manufacturer tested this hub? Either way, reflects very poorly on their brand name. Never buying Sabrent again.

Comments: This hub was not recognized by windows xp as usb port. Now I've returned it for a refund and no complaint to Newegg. Still, I wonder if any of you neweggers succeeded in having this item to work well in their system. ??Pehrhaps I got a faulty unit, but I suspect there are deeper issues here.
