5 out of 5 eggsWorking well.

Pros: Easy to install, allows me to add 4 more drives, speeds seem good.

According to the chip manufacturers website, with the new 5.5 bios it also supports RAID 5 and 10. I haven't tried that yet though.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: I was connecting my optical drive to this controller, so I couldn't use the included driver CD. Found drivers online at http://it.us.syba.com/support_download/download/73-0204-1.html

Extract the ZIP, right click the controller in device manager, click update drivers, locate the extracted files, done. EZ Peezy.

4 out of 5 eggsEasy Bios Configure

Pros: Easy setup.RAID 5 option via BIOS access, Works on XP & Win 7. Software Utility Monitor via desktop.

Cons: Linux and Clonezilla cannot see raid setup. Clonezilla sees raid as individual drives.

Other Thoughts: Clone via Windows access will see RAID setup. Use Acronis Image 2014 and was able to clone from HD to RAID 5 SSD.

5 out of 5 eggsExtra SATA ports

Pros: I've used this card for almost a year now and I have not had any issues with it. Windows recognized the device at first boot and installed the drivers for it. Not running raid so I wouldn't know its capabilities, just using it as extra ports for my DVD/BR drives.

Cons: Posts RAID configuration bios screen at startup every time the computer powers on.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat exspansion card!

Pros: "I needed 4 more sata ports for my home built NAS and this card works great. It is actually replacing an old sata300 I was using and the increase in speed performance is great. Very easy to install as well."

Cons: No noticable cons with this product.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like it is supposed to

Pros: I have my boot drive a data drive and 1 CD drive attached to this card and it runs fine. Transfered 100gb of data in about an hour. Windows recognized the card without any problems

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The card comes with the raid bios. After installing and windows recognizes the card you will need to change the bios to the IDE bios if you don't want to run a RAID. Very easy to do in device manager

5 out of 5 eggsSo Far So Good

Pros: Extra ports, MB only has 2, nowadays everything is Sata, so off I went and bought this card...

Cons: Did not work out of the box, at least it would not boot up with one of my Raptors connected, it would get past post and then hang on a black screen with an indicator at the top left blinking... after reading a few posts I found through Google, it was apparent I had to flash the cards Bios... all is well now, no hangups or anything

Other Thoughts: When installing the Bios, you only need to install the Driver, then after downloading the Bios upgrade, you can go to Device Manager and find your Sata Controller and on one of the tabs it will say Flash Bios, it's the easiest way I see to get this done...
