5 out of 5 eggsPerfectly simple solution for parallel dongles.

Pros: Driver automatically installed by Win7.
I installed 4 of these, no issues after 6 months daily use.
Very good price.
Worked with pass through security dongles & an ancient LaserJet.

Cons: This couldn't be better if it was free!

Other Thoughts: This is the solution for software requiring old parallel security dongles on new legacy free PCs. You may still need a driver for the dongle itself, but the port will work just fine with the Win7 built-in driver. The dongle won't see any difference between this and a mobo port.

Pros: - Works great on Windows 7 Professional 64bit.
- Easy to swap from full to low profile using included bracket.
- Software easy to install from included CD.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This was just what we needed to connect a legacy label printer to a new computer without having to buy an expensive upgrade card for the printer.

Other Thoughts: Needed to use an older parallel printer, and mobos don't have printer ports any more, so a $15 card fills the need.

Pros: Bought for a client with a slim form factor Dell Optiplex who wanted to use an old HP laserjet 1100. The low profile adapter was a must, and easy to swap out. Windows update installed driver before I could get the install disk in the drive. I had a printer test page in under 5 minutes. Windows 7 Pro x64.

Pros: Works in Linux, have used it under both Debian and Ubuntu. Currently runs my CNC Mill with LinuxCNC into a Gecko G540.

Cons: Not really any, it's 1980's tech. Signal is little jittery, but pretty good and mortals won't care, no special tweaking needed to get decent step and direction timing in CNC.

Other Thoughts: I spend too much time here.
