Pros: It is faster than my native USB 2.0 on my hp Pavillion Windows 7 machine, but just barely

Cons: I was hoping the transfer rates onto my USB 3.0 flash drive would be at least twice as fast if not 3x. Instead it only is about 20% faster, not worth the money I just sepnt to buy this unit.

Other Thoughts: I tested the transfer of a 2.3 GB file. Using my USB 2.0 port the file took 5 minutes 30 seconds to transfer. Using the USB 3.0 port on this unit the same file took 4 minutes 15 seconds. I was hoping it would be under two minutes, so I am very disappointed in this purchase.

Perhaps there is a compatibility issue between the card and the motherboard.

Update the motherboard/BIOS and, ensure that any system updates have been applied.

Also check that the card is installed into a PCIe v2.0 bus slot.

Pros: Great little card, had mine since 2010. Small and fits nicely into the first pci slot of a motherboard.

Cons: The molex adapter is awful just b/c of its presence. There's not way to make the wiring look good. But that's not the card's fault :P

Other Thoughts: You will need the drivers every time you install win7. Windows will not find you a driver automatically.

If you don't have a cd, they're very easy to d/'l from syba's site.

Pros: good price

Cons: Worked for two months and then stopped. It also started causing other errors in a very stable PC. Once I removed it, errors went away. This is garbage.

Pros: Price

Cons: Everything else. These flat do. not. work. The drivers that are bundled w/ them do nothing, and customer support is non-existent. Unfortunately I had a baby right before I ordered these, and didn't get around to installing and testing them until after they were 30+ days old.

Pros: USB 3.0 is decent, when it works.

Price is affordable. But put in a few more bucks to buy a quality name brand. Time is also money and the time it takes to fix the problems with this card will be higher than the cost of buying a quality name brand card.

Really a shame, when it works, it's pretty fast. Too bad this card has a 50% failure rate and it happens to fail just after 30 day return period is over every time!

Cons: This card worked when I first installed it but after a few days, my computer would not start with the card installed.

Does this sound familiar? Well, that's because a lot of reviewers have the same issue!

I have to give Syba credit for replying to customers' feedback, but are they really looking into this and "improving" their product as they say?

Look at the days of all the reviews where the card fails and causes the PC to no longer boot.

You see what I mean? It has been 6mos and now my card has the same failure as cards that were sold 6mos ago.

If Syba was committed to making "quality, affordable products" then this should have been fixed by now.

Pros: Newegg Refunded me instantly, with no hassle. That's why I shop from Newegg.

Cons: Not an honest assessment, because DOA could happen to any product i suppose... however I'm sure on a Cheap card like this, there is little Quality Testing.

It didn't work, I won't purchase another cheap-o card... the time wasted installing, uninstalling, reinstalling, testing, fiddling, isn't worth the savings, it ends up costing me money. Time is money.

Other Thoughts: I've been in the I.T. Industry for 15 years, Director of I.T. for the last 6. My tech level is very high, and I've installed several Pci-E usb 3.0 cards in various equipment from T-620 Servers to Cheap-O desktops. It wasn't user error, or install error. This is the first cheap USB 3.0 card i've purchased, and it was DOA. Lesson learned. I'll go back to more proven brands.

Pros: cheap...

Cons: ...you've got what you paid for, and that is sCRAP. Tried drivers from disk, from web site and still no go in Windows 7 x64. On top of that, on refund/exchange request you have to pay for shipping, that's about the same amount I'd paid for that sCRAP in a first place, I'd rather throw it away and forget about company called SYBA.

Pros: Cheap and still working for me without any issues in Windows 7

Cons: None for me.

Other Thoughts: I have owned this card for just under 3 months. I simply came to newegg and bought the cheapest 4 port USB3 card that hard reasonable reviews. I have an external USB3 hard drive that I transfer 40-80GB back and forth to it quite often. I simply was trying to speed up the process and this card served its purpose.

Pros: Worked great at first, but...................

Cons: .............within a month of installing the card my PC started to hang/freeze up where I couldn't wake up the monitor and I had to power cycle it to get it to work..

Today the PC would not boot up at all. My first thought was the power supply, but that checked out to be good. I then pulled the SYBA card out and the PC booted normally. Tried the card again and PC would not boot.

Based on the other reviews it looks like there are MANY of us in the same situation with a dead USB 3.0 card within 1 to 2 months after installation.

Other Thoughts: SYBA seems to be very willing to work this out. I will be contacting them shortly for a refund.
