Pros: This is the second TV tuner I've owned (the previous one circa January 2002, different manufacturer). By comparison, this one is excellent. (1) The software is extremely good, allowing you to rewind and pause live TV, record shows, automatic scheduling, "smart guides" with predefined program searches, etc. (2) The unit itself is small and easily hidden. Picks up over-the-air HDTV fine from an interior room with a table top antenna (obviously location of the transmitter towers matters for this).

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I am running this on a high end system (2x4-core Xeon). Low end systems might have some problems with CPU load (I'm normally using a full core for this software). Also, HDTV recordings are huge, sometimes as high as 12GBs/hour (most run 4-8GBs/hour) - make sure you have enough hard disk space if you plan to record a lot. You can compress, but then you lose quality.

The software bundled with mine was EyeTV 2; had to go through a form on their website to get EyeTV 3. It was a free upgrade and easy to do, but it was still an extra step that shouldn't have been needed. It took a day for them to process the upgrade request and send a new software key.

Pros: Easy Install! Easy to use, Nice Guide, Alot cheaper then buying a HDTV

Cons: Wasn't free!

Pros: Great picture, easy to setup, easy to use, works great with the apple remote. Overall awesome product.

Cons: The channel guide didn't work the first few times I tried it, but eventually got it to work.

Other Thoughts: This thing is great. If you want TV on your mac this is the device to do it with.

Pros: Does what it says. If you want to rip George Lopez to your iPod or iPhone you can do that.

Cons: This thing often just quits and says "no signal". The only way to fix it is to run disk permission repair. Navigating through its software is awkward. I know I am complaining a lot, but this thing is $150! Talking about taking advantage of being a Mac user. This same item for Windows would be $50 and less problematic.

Other Thoughts: Not a TV replacement. If your thinking to do away with a TV all together and use this instead, DON'T!

Pros: Excellent item in a very small package! Great software. For those who do not want TiVO monthly charges, this is the way to go!

Cons: Only one. You cannot use the Hybrid with a USB hub or your sleep will not work correctly. It must be plugged right in to your computer. And on an iMac, where USB inputs are sadly lacking, this tends to be a problem.

Pros: very simple to install and use. nothing complicated. i really like the attachment that allows you to transfer old videos/video cams to your hard drive.

i love how i can just sit at my desk, study, use the computer and have a game playing in the background!

Cons: the main hardware does seem to get a little hot. kinda makes me question how long these things will last. other then that, no issues as of yet.

Other Thoughts: someone mentioned that newegg didnt include proof of purchase card - needed to upgrade to eyetv 3 - well, i think that person just had badluck. i received mine today (ordered 2 days ago) and i had everything i needed to upgrade the software to eyetv 3. only took about 5 mins. no hassle.

also, i was told that in the next year or so, analog will no longer exist - going strictly with digital. not sure how accurate this info is, but better safe then sorry. no brainer. all about the HYBRID!

Pros: Great reception with satellite, cable, any digital source. Light and compact.

Cons: Disappointing with antenna. Have tried two amplified interior and one outdoor antenna with fair to no reception. All three of these antennas provide an acceptable picture with any of our TV sets.

Other Thoughts: This seems to be as good a solution as is now available for the Mac.

Pros: Does what it says it does, mostly. Compact. Good ability to deal with weaker HD signals.

Cons: The remote is poorly designed. Interface with TitanTV does not work well at all, and this forms the heart of the product. Many of the features are not intuitive.

Other Thoughts: Beware of overly positive but superficial online reviews of this product. Although it is a good product (really 3.5 stars), if you use the product for any length of time, the shortcomings will become obvious. It's not a TIVO replacement.

Pros: The product works as described however see cons.

Cons: NewEgg is shipping the product non-refundable and it did NOT include the code to upgrade the software to Eyetv3 which is another expense if you can't talk Elgato into the upgrade via their messaging system. Even if you can upgrade it is 3-5 days to get a response from their tech support which won't take phone calls or faxes.

Other Thoughts: The current software is $39.95 for an UPGRADE from what shipped with this product if Elgato won't upgrade it free.I was supposed to install this as a present tomorrow, now I'll have to make a return trip to set it up right when the software arrives, one way or another.

Pros: Simple and reliable on a Mac. It just works. Over the air HD is superb on a Mac monitor.

Cons: A little pricey.

Other Thoughts: A current Model# 10020415 should be the newest version that was released in January. It includes EyeTV3 software and Clear QAM tuning. The packaging is the only clue to this new version according to Elgato. Older versions are still being sold that include EyeTV2 and do not have QAM tuning.
