Pros: Great Idea it is the only HD Tuner for vista as of yet.

Cons: First one died after three days. Remote Audio is weird.

Other Thoughts: I have not had the problems that some have had with this unit overheating. I am willing to bet many of there problems is that the device tryed to send a full 16m over a poorly setup home network. Many people try to use a linksys or dlink home switch.. 99% of the products like that can only do 10mb total as one time even if they link up at 100mfull. Neat product.

Pros: Does exactly what I wanted it for. I transfer recordings from my dvr upstairs to my computer in the basement to create dvd's. Also works's great for transfering audio from old cassettes to my computer to create cd's. Video capture works well both wireless and wired. So far no glitches as mentioned in other review.

Cons: So far none.

Other Thoughts: Intalling was straight forward. Software setup walks you right through and updated software and firmware as it went. IR control works well also. I DO NOT have HD so can not say how video looks with HD.

1 out of 5 eggsGood idea...

Pros: Excellent idea, worked somewhat well (see cons for additional comments). PC software very easy to work with, IR 'remote' flawless.

Cons: Most of the time the picture just was not as good as standard TV quality, must be using some poor compression. Occasional glitches (aka several per 1/2 show with a 10-30 recovery time) in video would frequently disrupt DVR recordings, which reduced the value for me. Real time TV was good though if you ignored the occasional glitch.

Did not play well at all with WEP and WPA networks, and glitched far more often with them. Even with a wired ethernet connection directly to a PC produced glichty video so I know the box itself is the bottleneck.

Mine overheated and died within 2 weeks, in a perfectly open and clean environment. Given all the trouble, decided to return rather than exchange.

Other Thoughts: This was really a good idea, but it needs to use better video compression to improve picture. HDTV was definitely at SDTV quality...and this box's SDTV quality was not 100%.
