Converting video from your camcorder or VCR to digital movies has never been easier. Just attach the Pinnacle Dazzle Video Creator Plus into your computer then plug your device into the Dazzle and you are ready to go. The included Pinnacle Studio software makes editing a breeze.
You can do anything from a direct, unedited copy for archival purposes to resizing the video for use on the web or a portable media player. After editing, one click will send your video to YouTube. The new montage feature includes templates, animate graphics and multi-layered effects to give your video a more professional appearance.
Pros: It records, it works, haven't had any problems. I don't understand what these people are talking about. "When it works" ? I have yet to have a problem with the device itself.
Cons: Fortunately, i learned there is other software that works with this device. So you don't have to use their relatively bloaty software. If you have a half-way decent computer and a bunch of memory, it will work exactly how it should and the program that comes with it is decent. Not professional level, but then again, who buys this expecting professional level quality?
Other Thoughts: yes the software isn't all that mind blowing. However, the product works to my expectations. Currently I am using their software, but I plan to use something different later if it becomes annoying enough to warrant it. If your computer does not have 2 GB of memory or more, you probably won't get smooth capture (fast RAM can make up for this; I am on a DDR 1 RAM machine, It works fine for me).

Cons: Software is extremely bloaty and slow. You can find so much better for less also.
Other Thoughts: Creating the final movie takes forever because it goes frame by frame. It also sometimes comes out pixelated.

Pros: The idea of converting your old videos and movies to DVD and digital format is great.
Cons: Beware Windows Vista users, do some research first before buying this. The drivers do not work and you cannot find them at Pinnacle's web site. You will need a very powerful computer to make it work, the specs described by Pinnacle are not correct. You will need at least 2 GB of memory and 4GHz of CPU for Pentium 4. Make sure your video card also has at least 128 GB of memory. Any hardware less than that will not work.
