4 out of 5 eggsIt works well enough

Pros: It does what it's made to, it will read floppies and flash memory cards without trouble (under Windows XP), and installation isn't difficult, aside from the slight complication noted below.

Cons: I may not have looked over the specs carefully enough before puchasing, but as stated in previous reviews, the floppy drive portion of this reader requires a floppy ribbon cable. All the functions are not carried by the USB connection alone. This came as a surprise to me, considering there are many, many USB floppy drives out there. For me this wasn't really a problem, but others looking at this product should take note of it.

2 out of 5 eggsDoes not work w/ Vista

Pros: It worked under XP Media Center edition very well.

Cons: Will not work with Vista. An email to their tech support said sorry we do not support Vista. A phone call to tech support kep me on hold for 4 hours and then hung up. I am looking elsewhere.

1 out of 5 eggsFdd is not USB

Pros: I bought this because I was told that the FDD was USB, even the factory said it was. But it is USB only for the memory reader.

Cons: It is not USB!

4 out of 5 eggsNice unit, mine had a malfunction

Pros: - Easy USB 2.0 connection
- Superb use of space
- Great look/design
- Worked well with my x64 system

Cons: Only con is that mine had a problem with the floppy power connector. This connector isn't required for USB functions. Hopefully, a replacement will fix it.

Other Thoughts: Be sure to look for the newest -S4 version. There is also a S1 and S2. Maybe S4 improved compatability.
