This review is from: SIIG DP 4-Port USB 3.0 PCIe i/e Model JU-P40311-S1
Pros: Installed card and Windows 8 picked up on it and install their driver without a hitch.
Cons: Works great for about 2 to 3 minutes transferring a large file and then it STOPS! Starts up again and after about 30 seconds STOPS! Tried this with a Orico external drive with two different Seagate drives and also with an external Iomega drive with the same results. Not sure if the problem is with the card or with Windows 8 or USB 3.0 as I have done some research on the web and there are a bunch of people having the same problem with all the PCIe cards out there using NEC, Amedia or VIA chips! All the add on cards are having problems and it seems NO ONE seems to help or care especially MICROSOFT! Personally, I'm tired of messing with the problem. If anyone has an answer, PLEASE let me know!
