Pros: Simple product, where the expectation is that it just works, and it does.

I have installed this card in 2 different systems, and used it under Vista and Windows 7

I connect an old HP laser jet to it.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I do not require 2 way parallel functionality so I don't know how well that works.

The driver download zip includes a PDF with procedures to create a Linux device for it too.

Pros: Purchased this for an old old laserjet printer that we use at home. Most MB don't come with this port now days. Had to install the drivers for it to work, the windows default driver didn't work, so make sure to do that.

Cons: A little pricy, but not a lot of options out there.

Pros: Card seems to be easily recognized by Windows XP machine

Cons: Can't get printer to work with this parallel port card

Other Thoughts: Had no problem plugging this card in and having Win XP see card. Drivers installed fine but when I tried to install HP LaserJet 1320 printer to use the parallel port, it would not function properly.

Pros: Simple installation

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Plugged it in to a PCI slot. Windows 7 Business Edition, 64 bit recognized it immediately. Plugged in my Laserjet 1100 print cable, Windows 7 identified the printer and automagically downloaded the driver. No hassles, no issues, printer now works fine.

Pros: Works like a charm

Cons: In windows 7 the last of the installs is not digitally signed. It comes back with an error. Reboot and you should be fine.

Pros: Seems to install itself correctly on XP.

Cons: Cannot change I/O range for non-standard devices.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't trust this card to talk to something other than a printer. User is forced into using the automatic settings.
