Pros: not tested yet

Cons: I was under the assumption that the Firewire 400 and 800 works regardless which PCI slot is being used. Especially since the spec sheet didn't say otherwise.
Only after opening the box and looking into the manual at two positions it's stated:
"Note: A 64-bit PCI slot is required for a 800 Mbits/sec. data transfer rate." and "*The card must be placed in a 64-bit PCI slot for a 800 Mbits/sec. data transfer speed. In a 32-bit
PCI slot, the card defaults to 400 Mbits/sec. as the data transfer speed for all attached peripherals,
including FireWire 800 devices."

Other Thoughts: It's sad that there's no pre-purchase information on this very special requirement. Not many boards with 64-bit PCI are still around, so they should have mentioned this in the description.

Other Thoughts: Customer Service very helpful, I had to return the card, because of the wrong PCI card for my computer. Reuqested an RMA and reordetr the correct card, no problem here. Thanks.

Pros: Driverless, and works in Mac OSx and PC.

Cons: None that I noticed.

Pros: Came with video editing software. Not that I need video editing software...

Cons: Gave up at 5a.m. Thank g-d for Acronis disk imaging. Seems that the software may not work if you have an NVidia Geforce card!! Who doesn't? But maybe that's not the problem. Who knows - the manufacturer's knowledge base is a little - skimpy, shall we say?

Pros: Works great on my PowerMac G5. No drivers were needed.

Cons: It was hard to secure the card because the bracket was high. Had to bend it down a little bit.

Other Thoughts: I wish they did't include video editing software with it because many people don't need it. I guess they charge extra money for that software.

Pros: Easy installation and works great.

Cons: When installing the 1394b drivers you get a warning that the drivers are not signed by Windows for XP. Installed on 32 bit OS. There do not appear to be any issues with functionality.

Other Thoughts: Not much to say. It works flawlessly!
