5 out of 5 eggsWorks with Windows 7 (64 bit)

This review is from: StarTech 2 Port PCI Parallel Adapter Card - EPP/ECP

Pros: It works.

Cons: Have to download the new drivers and install manually.

Other Thoughts: These are exact steps for get Windows7 64-bit working.

Download the latest drivers for the PCI2PECP here: http://www.startech.com/Data/ProductDrivers/PCI2PECP.zip.

Extract files

Open Device Manager.

NOTE: Even if the Multifunction Adapter is listed with no errors it WILL still need to be updated. Do not skip this step as the rest of the steps will NOT work. Click the plus sign next to the Multifunction Adapter heading. Right-click on the device that appears below and choose Update Driver Software.

Choose Browse My Computer.

Choose the Let Me Pick From a List.

Click the Have Disk button (you may have to click Next again to see this button depending on the version of your OS) and browse to the extracted folder, open the Windows Vista folder and choose the file named NmXpMf. The port should automatically correct itself, if not go through the same process for the port but choose the file named NmPorts instead.

Perform Windows Update to remove exclamation marks.

5 out of 5 eggsNo problems

This review is from: StarTech 2 Port PCI Parallel Adapter Card - EPP/ECP

Pros: Does what it's supposed to.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I've used these in several machines. They install easily under XP and I've had no trouble with them.
