5 out of 5 eggsFixed my PC STEAM ( Street Fighter IV ) issues

Pros: I have a some custom arcade sticks that will not work on my PC for Street Fighter IV. These arcade sticks contain HAPPS and SANWA parts so they are very high quality but will not work on my PC. This card contains UCHI (VIA chipsets) which is what you need to get your arcade stick to work

Cons: Was not free :p

Other Thoughts: If your arcade fighting stick will not work on your PC buy this and all your problems will be solved!

5 out of 5 eggsCouldn't Ask for More

Pros: These arrived quickly and installed in minutes. I installed two in desktops running Windows 7. They self-loaded drivers, began working immediately and have functioned flawlessly ever since. You couldn't ask for more.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Plenty of ports... The card works well.

Cons: When I bought a new mobo, and tried plugin this in, it didn't work for about 2 weeks, then suddenly it started workin.

Other Thoughts: I wish I could find a good usb3.0 card with 4 ports.

1 out of 5 eggsMassive Disappointment

Pros: It arrived quickly, which is what happens when you pay for rushed processing and 2-day shipping. It was also nicely packaged in a brown box with my name on it.

Cons: I wasted my money buying it.

The box says its "natively supported" by a number of operating systems, including Windows 7. I naively assumed that this meant Server 2008 would also natively support it. This was not the case. Server 2008 failed to recognize it and properly install the driver. So I went to StarTech's website to download drivers, and discovered that they only have drivers available for Mac OS and Windows 98/ME. So I download the 98 drivers and attempt to install using the legacy driver installation option...however, at this point, Server 2008 no longer sees the card whatsoever. Server 2008 refuses to classify anything within the driver folder as a driver, and the manual driver selection process within the legacy driver wizard does not list anything remotely close to this card or the VIA chip that it allegedly has onboard (according to StarTech's website). Total nightmare. Total waste of money.

Other Thoughts: If you have an operating system that DOES actually support it, then its probably great. If you're like me and are running something other than mainstream consumer-grade Windows, then save your money. I have a friend who fell into the exact same trap.

Save your money. Buy a better card. Don't get burned.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a charm

Pros: Adds more ports and is cheap what more do you want?

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: at first my PC had and issue with the card. Looks like windows 7 didn't like it. I had to go into device manager and disable then restart my system. It's been working ever since then.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks good, Installs easy

Pros: Easy to install. Works just fine.
I'm using the 4 external ports constantly.

Cons: Slight XP system problem with mapping multiple drives. I had to remap my network drives to letters at the end of the alphabet. When automatic drive letter allocation reached the drive letter I had pre-mapped to a network drive there was an unresolved conflict that XP did not handle automatically. I had to rename network drive M to be Y instead, then it all worked fine.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than Brand X

Pros: This device was a dream to install and work with. I bought it, so I could use one of the newer external hard drives to back up my computer's system state. and all the files I had. With this USB, I backed up the system state in under 20 minutes, and the files and folders were done in about eight minutes. WOW!! USB 2.0 is truly superior to the old 1.1 I have on my computer's other input, output ports. I am so glad I got this USB device. It is a labor, and time saving piece of hardware.
This device came with embedded driver software in it, so there was no software installation CD included. No driver downloads were necessary as well. There was an informative pamphlet included, and it was helpful.

Cons: I have no cons to mention about this USB 2.0 input, output device. It is everything I had hoped it would be.

Other Thoughts: This 2.0 USB device replaced one from another manufacturer. The first one had installation software that crashed my operating system. I had to return it to another merchant for an RMA. In a way, that caused me to look for a more compatible device for my system. I'm glad I found this one!!!

3 out of 5 eggsDoes not work on all macs

Pros: Worked on my Mac G4 dual processor 533 right away

Cons: Did not work on my Mac G4 450 with AGP graphics. My external hard drives do not should up when i start up the computer. I have to turn the hard drives off and then back on in order for the card to recognize them

Other Thoughts: Startech had no idea why it would not work on my older mac and could do nothing to help me
