5 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: It's small and fits in the machine?

Cons: It wasn't free

Other Thoughts: I'm currently using this in a Super Micro Atom acting as a Vyatta router. A Gig-E NIC plugs into it. I'll probably pick up another one for another machine. Use it in conjunction with a SCSI card.

5 out of 5 eggsNot sure what previous reviewer is talking about

Pros: Takes a PCIe1 slot and angles it to the left, useful in low profile systems.

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: Not sure what the previous reviewer was going on about as far as a hyper case, cpu overheating issues or anomalous cpu temp readings. This device is not a cpu, not a mainboard, and not a cooling device. It does not in anyway perform any computations or add capabilities, it merely angles a slot sideways to add a functionality in a confined space.

4 out of 5 eggslow pro and slightly noisy

Pros: fits in the Hyper media case and is fairly quiet

Cons: no heat pipe and CPU gets toasty. I have an AMD X2 5000 Brisbane and it is running at 57° C so I can't turn the fan speed down which makes it a little loud. I have an Abit 8200 chipset w/ the latest BIOS and it's possible that the temp is reading incorrectly. In the Hyper case, the screws went beneath the mobo too far and were causing the mobo not to sit flat so I had to drill holes in the case to let the screws pass through.

Other Thoughts: I am getting 2 different temp readings between the BIOS and HWmonitor so I'm not sure I trust them 100%. I would love to them figure how to squeeze a heat pipe in on this cooler. The Hyper media case has a vent directly above the cooler so it should have fresh air coming in.
