1 out of 5 eggsPiece of JUNK! (for lack of better word)

Pros: Wastes a lot of your time by auto switching to inputs all by itself. Have fun figuring out why!!

Cons: Wastes a lot of your time by auto switching to inputs all by itself. Have fun figuring out why!!

Other Thoughts: Finally got to install this for a client but since I've had it for 35 days I'm stuck with it. Another win for China!

1 out of 5 eggsI should have read more reviews

Pros: Remote control is a nice feature.

Cons: Like many other poor reviewers, the picture quality at 1080p is very blurred - like 720 or 480 was stretched to 1080. Their support blames the cables or connectors, but when using couplers to the same cables instead of the switch, the picture quality is spot-on, so it is not the cables.

The button on the front is surprisingly stiff and the unit is extremely light (hardly weights more than the plastic casing it is in). So, either the remote is required or you need to brace the unit to press the button.

It seems that just the Green channel (which is not just the green color, but carries signaling info, such as which pixels go where) is the port that has the issue with blurring. When moving the Green channel to the Red or Blue channel instead, the blurring is gone and picture quality is spot-on. This is not a permanent solution, however, as if there is too much activity on the screen, the unit seems to reset and you lose the picture over and over until the high activity ceases.

Other Thoughts: Still useful as a composite switch, but that's not what I bought it for. I guess you really do get what you pay for - a cheap product. Not worth paying the shipping to get a refund.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't bother

Pros: It looks like it would be great. Should have fit my need to connect my Wii and old Xbox360 to my large, new TV with only 1 component input. Has all the makings of a good product before it's actually plugged in.

Cons: Video quality is unacceptable for full 1080 HD. Image appears oddly blurred and wiped across the screen.

Other Thoughts: Don't bother. I'm RMAing it.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: Does what I bought it for. Easy to set up. Compact, sleek design. Great price.

Cons: Construction is somewhat cheap but ok for the price. Indicator LED is always on. Front selector button takes a lot of force to use, meaning I move the box unless I hold it still.

Other Thoughts: Our 10 yr old A/V receiver only has two component video inputs, no HDMI. Over the years we have added more components to our system, switching older ones to composite video inputs. With this switch we can now run all of our components through component video. Makes a huge difference in quality from a DVD. I don't notice any signal degradation over running straight to the receiver. I put the IR codes into our universal remote and it works great. I couldn't want any more from a switch.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked well

Pros: I needed this due to my previous home theater system not having all the requirements for all the inputs. This solved the problem and I didn't have any signal issues switching between the channels and the remote worked well.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I upgraded the home theater. I made sure I have ample connections for everything when buying the receiver.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat AV Switch.

Pros: I have bought 2 of these A/V switches and love them. They work great and I can control them with my Harmony remotes! Can't beat the price too.

Cons: None.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Does what it says it does. You can expect a little degradation when stringing an analog signal through more equipment and cables, but the picture quality hasn't changed much.

Cons: No auto-switch feature (to switch to a single active signal). Requires power (down side to having a remote.)
Four different switch buttons for remote instead of a single cycle button.

Other Thoughts: It's nothing special but gets the job done.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality - NOT WORTH IT

Pros: Cheap, easy setup

Cons: Doesn't work
-purple hazing on right side of screen
-colors are different than from a direct HD connection
-remote came dented

Now I'm paying $20 worth of shipping to get a $29 refund. Not worth it!

Other Thoughts: I bought this HD component switch because I had too many HD components for my TV. Due to previous reviews, I bought this only to be disappointed by the quality of this product. There was purple haziness on the right side of my screen and the colors were highly saturated when I used this switch. The remote came dented and makes me think that this manufacturer is just refurbishing their products over to newegg (or vise versa) since the remote was well nestled into the package. Either way, the product wasn't worth it and now I will get a refund costing me almost the price of the thing itself. If you plan on still buying this, buy it from a vendor that doesn't charge you the cost of shipping back as I have a feeling that this is a hit or miss product.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks nice. The ability to switch between inputs is also nice, and the ability to program it to work with any remote worked perfectly.

Cons: I bought this to replace another switch I had because one of its inputs broke; the picture quality of systems plugged into this switch, however, is noticeably worse. I've got a Wii, PS2, and 360 all hooked up through it, and the picture quality for all of them is slightly blurry when compared to my other switch or being plugged in with no switch in the middle.

Other Thoughts: The degradation in picture quality isn't bad enough that I'm going to throw this out and buy a new switch, but I wouldn't recommend this one to people who are looking at other options.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Box!

Pros: Simple to use and lots of jacks. Does what it is supposed to do.

You can train the box to use a different remote.

No apparent loss of video or audio quality.

Cons: My remote came DOA. So I used a different remote and trained the box to respond to it.

Other Thoughts: The manual tells you how to train the box, but it is poorly documented. You must train all 4 inputs at once--you cannot train 1, 2 or 3 inputs.
