5 out of 5 eggsDisplay Cable

Pros: Cable work perfect with the monitor that I ordered it for and the video card needed this cable to get my 5 monitors to work. The quality of the cable seems fine and the 10' was a plus !

Cons: none so far

1 out of 5 eggsBought 2 of these, both stopped working after the warranty ended.

Pros: None

Cons: I bought two of these cables for my Dell IPS monitors and both cables are no longer working. They were never moved around or anything, I just started receiving DisplayPort failure messages and the monitor disconnects. The one cable went out about a year after I got it. The other one just stopped functioning as well. I ended up replacing them with Rosewill cables (Newegg's brand) and the quality is significantly better. Go that route.

Other Thoughts: Buy Rosewill cables, they are much more durable and heavier duty

2 out of 5 eggsCable failure less than a year after purchase

Pros: Convenient length, snug fit connection.

Cons: Failure after less than a year.

Other Thoughts: I bought two cables back in Sept 2013. One cable is still working, but the other cable started causing flickering issues. I run dual monitors and when one started flickering, I switch the cables and the other one started flickering. Pretty clear that its the cable.

1 out of 5 eggsCan't do 4K@60Hz

Pros: - Good price.
- Does 4K@30Hz fine over 10ft.

Cons: Gave it one egg because the whole purpose why I bought this cable was to do 4K@60Hz over DP 1.2 SST to an Asus PB287Q monitor. I bought two of these cables and both showed the same issue: 4K@30Hz will work fine, but 60Hz won't work. Tried the exact same computer setup with two other (shorter) DP cables I had and both were able to do 60Hz fine.

Maybe the length of the cable is a problem for such high bandwidth requirements?

1 out of 5 eggsNEVER BUY OVER 6.6 feet Displayport

Pros: ...

Cons: the 2 cables break after 8-9 months. Never used the second one and didn't work when I tried to switch for the one I was using.

I did go on forum and they are saying that cable over 10 feet broke and just didn't work much more often.

5 out of 5 eggsGood price but you have to buy at least 2

Pros: * It is v1.2 complaint where it transmits both audio and video
* black
* no flickering signal
* probably the most affordable cable in this class. It works perfectly with Intel iGFX.

Cons: * the egger charges less if you buy at least 2
* 32awg, it's pretty thin for my taste. I feel better had they used 28awg. I'm pretty positive they can fit 28awg wires into the MDP end.

Other Thoughts: There are compatibility issue with AMD Radeon 7750 card but this is not the cable's fault. Wakes up from S3 sleep state work 90% of the time. Wakes from monitor power saver mode works 0% of the time. Again, not the cable fault since this isn't an issue with Intel HD Graphic. This is a very common complain I read about this cable but I strongly believe it's your graphic card to fault for not sending correct handshake signal. So that being said, all ATI users need take what I said into strong consideration before making the purchase!!! This issue wasted 2 months of my life trying to figure out the solution. The only solution I found is to buy a regular Nippon 15ft 28awg DP-DP cable then using the included ATI DP to MDP converter, that's the only solution I got it to work. I've tried all the DP to MDP cable, nothing works. Again, it's ATI for not implementing the DP spec. What's worst is sometimes the handshake doesn't go through properly so you'll end with wake up, power saver, and even reboot issues too!
