1 out of 5 eggsPoor support for high resolution

Pros: - Product images accurate
- Monitor ID was correctly passed through the device.

Cons: - 1920x1080p support completely unacceptable

My usual setup is a laptop/monitor, so I had tested this device on it before risking installation. While the monitor was correctly identified, the signal that came out the receiving end was 1920x1080i 30hz, down sampled from 1920x1080p 60hz. This also had the effect of reducing the brightness by about half and caused eye strain when viewing the monitor reminiscent of old CRT monitors.

Other Thoughts: This device is not alone in this shortcoming. I have yet to find a device by any manufacture that transmits a quality image at a resolution higher than 1024x768. Convert your entire system to HDMI if possible.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: The price is good and it works well for most presentations.

Cons: First one was DOA. The second one works well.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Great product, decent price, supports 1080p resolution over a long distance. Only a single power adapter required, using power over Ethernet for the other end.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I noticed some people complaining of quality, it may have been due to cheap cat5 cabling or very long runs. I ran my unit about 60 feet with cat6 and it worked better than I expected. I'm now going to purchase another one to install at a friends house!

4 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised

Pros: Inexpensive, has been working without incident for 2 months in a classroom with daily use.

Cons: Colors are a bit washed out and not a vibrant as with a more expensive VGA extender.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY THIS JUNK

Pros: Zero

Cons: Out of box failure. I have worked in enterprise environments since 2000 and know the basics. I can plug in a VGA cable, CAT5e cable, and assure power to device and know how to set a notebook into presentation mode. Monitor tested fine running same VGA cable straight to monitor. Bad product.

This JUNK does not work. Run... do not just avoid this unfortunate product.

Try ANYTHING else. I was counting on it for the president conference room and it is junk.

Other Thoughts: Try any other product or solution. This is useless.
