Pros: Simple to install. Works perfectly. My company uses these to capture live video from inside our attraction to sell to customers, we have installed 100+ systems with this video capture device and not had a single issue with them.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The other reviewers for this item are all ridiculous, they are giving a product 1 star because they don't know how to use it or don't have a computer that is capable of video capture....

Like I said I have used over a hundred and haven't had a single problem. Installing the drivers is a snap, simply plug the device in and run the setup....not sure why people find this difficult to do.

If you want a great AV capture device to hook up to an external source, look no further you have found it.

Pros: The device works well out of the box. Have used this with Livestream, Skype, as well as with producing software such as VidStudio

Cons: The Video cable is very flimsy I bought one and it broke, I had to buy another and then had StarTech Cross ship a replacement and then the Second one started developing problems.

Other Thoughts: StarTech worked well to replace the device, but it just does not stand up to being used in several different settings, (i.e. the wear and tear of taking it up and resettting it later, etc.)

Great thought, just wish it was more durable.

Cons: Didn't work at all. Unless you are technological literate you can try to figure out how to get this item to work; if your not you are S.O.L. I was able to get the driver installed that is only if you have the device plugged in even at that it took a couple of times to get the driver to install properly (Win 7 64-bit). The software that came with it didn't even work. I had my camcorder plugged in and no picture was being captured. I'm assuming there was a compatibility issue with the Sony Camcorder and this item. I'm returning this item for $45 its not worth the hassle to figure out how to get the device to work. And even MORE disappointed that I'm not getting a full refund either and had to pay for shipping label. This is the first and last item I purchase through Newegg!

Plugged in cables and tried My Sony Vega movie program.
Connected to sat receiver composite out.
Recognized devise but could not activate or use.
Loaded video program supplied with startech.
Recognized devise but would not activate or use but sometimes sound.
Connected VCR player would not connect or use.
Device manager shows two device drivers.
Sony or coral video programs would not see device if I disabled one of the drivers at a time. Must need both to work.
Most Driver details are for Vista or win 7 32 system.
Need a fast high speed system to capture video and this is not recommended. I give zero eggs.

Other Thoughts: lan crashed before first purchase.

clicking on order numbers provided says order not in system
so completed order for product.
Got two email confirmations. Tried to stop one order but new egg system says busy try later.
Called support and man said one order will be cancelled.
