5 out of 5 eggsGreat card, but required a bit of debug in Linux

Pros: This card had a much better serial controller chip than some of the cheaper boards based on the moschip devices. The deeper FIFO helped resolve an issue I was having with multiple devices pushing lots of data simultaneously over multiple ports.

Cons: I wouldn't really call it a con, since it results in the device being capable of higher baud rates, but the default base baud rate is higher than normal which requires extra configuration steps in Linux.

Other Thoughts: I was able to make this card function in Linux (kernel version 3.15.8) without the manufacturer supplied kernel patch by using setserial to compensate for the higher base baud rate. Use the following command for each of the ports:

sudo setserial /dev/ttySx baud_base 1200000
