Pros: Works very well with a a Epiphan VGA2USB PRO to work on remote systems in the field.

Cons: Plastic case - I wish it was a more durable casing for traveling.

Pros: This cable does what you need. convert analouge vga to HDMI. Connecting was easy, and it gives me a bit more cable length on my vga cable which is dandy. have this hooked up to an older acer lcd that only has vga out, this is my 3rd screen and works dandy in a multi monitor setup.

Cons: There are 2 issues, nothing major. first issue is if your close to the screen, sometimes it will appear grainy or the color will look sort of blown out. this isn't all the time and ive actually seen this happen less with more use, but just throwing that out there.

second issue: sometimes when you start the computer, the screen will not display, just unplug hdmi from the computer and plug it back in, problem solved. this happens every once in a while, but is not a big concern.

Also, the grainy/blown out color thing seems to be even less noticable with videos playing, so if you need this for a media center computer it will work great, and from a distance you'll be hard pressed to see any of the grain.

Other Thoughts: Bought it to connect my wife's Latitude 10 tablet dock to a USB KVM. Plugged everything into an older model Viewsonic 22" monitor. Switched the KVM to the dock, and *boom* her tablet was mirrored to the monitor. Switched the tablet to extend the displays; again, no issues doing so. Now, she just needs a higher resolution monitor.

No need for reboots or any tinkering. It just worked.

Pros: Works very well as a HDMI to VGA (as intended) not the opposite way around as 2 of the low reviews indicate.

Other Thoughts: Ignore the guy who only gave one egg - This is a HDMI to VGA adapter, not the other way around. A VGA to HDMI converter is expensive $150+ and usually requires a power source.

Pros: this sings and dances. makes my coffee in the morning. does what it says.
