Now connect a laptop or desktop computer to a VGA television, projector, or monitor using a WiFi network.
The WIFI2VGA VGA over Wi-Fi Adapter enables you to send a VGA signal (resolutions up to 1280x1024/720p) – as well as the supporting audio – from a laptop or desktop computer, to a remote projector or display, over a wireless IP network.
The WIFI2VGA is the perfect solution for business applications, such as boardroom presentations and data sharing, as it is a single, compact device that can be situated by your remote display. The only thing you need to do is to install the included software on each computer you intend to connect to the WIFI2VGA.
Compatible with Wireless N (IEEE 802.11n) and backward-compatible with Wireless-G (802.11 g) networks, this wireless VGA extender supports data rates up to 150Mbps for optimum video and audio quality. It also comes with an integrated USB port.
Works but not without problems
This review is from: StarTech WiFi to VGA Wireless Video Extender with Audio - 1280x1024/720p WIFI2VGA
Pros: The product may be useful in displaying remote signage or something of that nature.
Cons: The idea behind this product is good. The means in which it is delivered isn't. The software that operates this device is terrible. The device itself seams to be decent. When it works it delivers crisp images. I bought this device to operate a remote monitor at my church. The major problem is the software doesn't work well if you are running dual monitors. It changes my monitor settings every time I use the software then doesn't revert the settings back. Also if you can't seem the screen you are projecting to you can't tell if it is working. There is no sure way to tell if you are sending video or not. Finally it seemed to degrade the image that is being displayed on the main projector.
