5 out of 5 eggsExtra USB

Pros: 5 USB plugs.. one is invisible and you plug you TB flash drive into it in side your computer so no one will know where it is.

Cons: 1 USB in side the computer? that will not bring me my coffee.

5 out of 5 eggsTruly plug and play

Pros: I have a win7 machine (built myself) and this card is really plug and play. What I did: open box, plug into motherboard, use it! Its that easy! And yes, all the ports worked

Cons: none, as it was very fairly priced too

1 out of 5 eggsRC-103 - Defective from day one.

Pros: Low Price

Cons: PC will not boot for me with card in PCI slot and anything plugged into the card. It will boot fine if <nothing> is plugged into any of the USB headers. If I plug any device into the card <after> boot, and once in Windows 7 x86 it works. Of course this is not acceptable, I'm not about to plug in all my USB devices after Windows starts up...

Other Thoughts: I only have one PCI slot so can't test it in a different slot. Using Biostar Hi-Fi A85S3 Ver. 6.1 FM2 MB.

This device is not worth sending back, would cost almost as much to ship it back as it would to just purchase another one.

5 out of 5 eggsBought, but didn't use.

Pros: Works OK.

Cons: Needed the slot for another card.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat value, works well

Pros: - Lots of USB ports
- Low cost (when I got it)
- PCI interface (NOT PCIe, by the way)
- Good compatibility across the full range of MB's.
- Plug and play (Win 7 did not need drivers).

Cons: - For full cases only.
- Uncertain about Win 8 compatibility.
- Not USB 3.0

Other Thoughts: I use a lot of USB devices for gaming, art, photography, etc. Very few of my devices are USB 3.0. When I built my new system, I wanted to make sure I had enough USB ports. I wanted to get rid of the stack of hubs I had and wanted to push most of my semi-permanent connections to the back of my computer.

This adapter allowed me to dump one hub entirely, which went a very long way to clearing my workspace from entangling wires. It's worked perfectly well since I installed it. Its run my scanners and the connections to my game pad, camera port and scanners since the beginning without a hitch.

For the number of ports it has and its relatively low cost, it's an excellent choice if you have a full size case, don't need USB 3.0 and are running Win 7, XP or Kubuntu/Ubuntu Linux.

I can't say beyond those OS's since I didn't try it in any other system, but I would think, unless otherwise mentioned in the specs, that it can work with any OS in any device that has USB 2.0 compatibility and an open PCI slot.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: I never thought I would need more USB ports, but I started plugging in all kinds of stuff, so I needed this card.

Cons: There is a USB slot for inside your case, I plugged in a thumb drive because I didn't want it just hanging out the back....well after 2 days, it quit reading the thumb drive. I removed it, plugged back in....nothing. So I put it in the back and it's worked fine ever since.

Other Thoughts: I guess I'll plug in a USB light or something for the inside, just to use it.
