The TruLink HDMI Over Cat5e Extender allows you to extend your HDMI signal up to 60m (200ft) over two Cat5 unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cables. This solution is ideal for applications where your HDMI monitor needs to be placed further than the average 10m HDMI cable limitation. Driving a HDMI signal over Cat5 allows you to take advantage of your UTP cable infrastructure already installed, for a cost effective and reliable installation.
This review is from: C2G HDMI over Cat5E Extender, 1080p and HCDP-compatible 40477
Pros: These work great, as do the Crestron branded units.
Cons: No CEC control.
Other Thoughts: If you need these to pass CEC control through HDMI, you will need an extender pair with 2 RJ-45 jacks on it. Look up Extron HDMI STP extenders if you need to pass CEC control (EX: controlling LifeSize Cameras over HDMI)
