1 out of 5 eggsYou can use it for a doorstop

Pros: I love New Egg(most of the time). Looks like a USB 3.0 controller card.

Cons: Bought it, didn't work, sent it back for a replacement, replacement DOA. Postage for sending it back, made the purchase not such a good deal; using it for a doorstop made it an even worse deal.

Other Thoughts: Bought a Koutech IO-PEU230 Dual Channel SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PCI Express Card with 15-pin SATA Power Connector from New Egg, it didn't work; I sent it back for a replacement, the second one was DOA. I purchased a 2-Port SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PCI-E Express Expansion Host Controller Card (NEC/Renesas Chipset) from a marketplace; plugged it in, worked perfectly.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: none

Cons: The USB 3 controller card arrived DOA; I will have to pay to have it shipped back, not such a bargain after all.

Other Thoughts: I love New Egg, except now.

1 out of 5 eggsWon't Work

Pros: None if it doesn't work.

Cons: Drivers that come with card are old.
Once installed card won't recognize USB 3.0 HD that works fine on another computer. Downloaded new drivers still won't won't work. Consistently connects and disconnects in an endless loop.

5 out of 5 eggsMy old Dell, now with USB 3.0

Pros: Two USB 3.0 slots that work. Low profile ready. Fits well. I appreciate that it has a SATA power connector. Well made.

Cons: With low profile size specs a bit all over the place, this fits as well as can be expected in my low profile case (Dell Slim Studio 540S). It's a a few mm too tall (just fits snugly) but not enough to knock off an egg.

Other Thoughts: No USB 3.0 drivers in Windows 7 (yet). Downloaded the drivers off the Koutech Web site and installed without issue.

I've used this card with the Koutech IO-RCM630 3.5" card reader. Works great. Now I have a font-facing USB 3.0 slot and a card I might be able to reuse down the road.

Also, thankfully the SATA power connector is on the side of the card instead of on top. Low profile cards typically don't have much clearance on top (hence the low profile). Some manufacturers don't realize this. Nice detail, Koutech.

5 out of 5 eggsUSB 3.0 SuperSpeed

Pros: Easy installation! I just installed the driver from the drivers CD, than inserted the card and everything went well. Now, accessing my USB 3.0 external HDD is much faster than using the USB 2.0 provided on my motherboard. What a fantastic card!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Koutech products never failed my expectations. Also, their website is very helpful with all the latest drivers to download.
Quick, easy and economical upgrades for my PC!!
Hooray to Newegg for fast shipping!

1 out of 5 eggsNo driver!

Pros: None so far.

Cons: No driver file on the disc, and no driver available on their web site. Tech support not responsive!
