4 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: This is a very small card that does the job at good speeds. It uses a Renasus chip set which worked well in an EVGA SR2.

Cons: Uses type A connectors rather than a 20-pin internal connector. However, if that is what you are looking for, this would be a pro, not a con.

The package is bare minimum and includes a generic driver disk which only lists generic devices (dozens) like USB device and USB hub. It's up to you to guess which one is the one you need since there are no associated model numbers or any other directions. The single slip of paper included doesn't even talk to the card that is in the box, referring to connections and options not relevant to the card itself. Since I new what it was, and the chipset on it, I didn't even bother with their driver disk. Still, it is a negative for anyone with less than med-high skills.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this card in order to get a PRO-57U media reader to work with a new EVGA SR-2 MB. The SR2 was proving to be difficult with just about every USB add-on card I tried (Vantec, StarTech, etc.). This one, fortunately worked right out of the box. Unfortunately, because it doesn't have a 20-pin connector, I had to buy and run additional type A to B cables to connect it. However, it powers the media reader just fine and, because of the chipset, works with the internal SR2 drivers.

5 out of 5 eggsKoutech Dual Channel SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PCI Express Card

Pros: Works well.A 10 minute job with 2.0 is done in 2 minutes with this 3.0

Cons: None at all.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this to any one who does not have a 3.0 motherboard and uses their thumb drives as much as I do.

3 out of 5 eggsOk

Pros: Looks nice. Works.

Cons: Doesn't sit perfectly flush in the case. Documentation was poorly written, but then how much do you really need?

Other Thoughts: My MOBO didn't support the newest iteration of USB tech, so I had to buy an expansion card. Also, I don't seem to have enough of the correct power connectors, so I have to buy some extra extension cables. No biggie, really and certainly not the manufacturer's issue.

I think that if I had to make this choice again, I would just go with a product that gave me a bunch of USB interfaces and ditch the rest.

5 out of 5 eggsShipping

Pros: Pro's? I will know someday if it ever arrives. I gave it five eggs because it will get here. Last time you shipped me something through UPS Mail Innovations Destination RPF it took weeks. On top of that they could not even tell me where it was at after several phone calls.

Cons: Thanks newegg for the worst shipping method ever!!!! Should not even be a shipping choice. I know this was my mistake for forgetting to change shipping methods.

Other Thoughts: I know its egg saver shipping but come Newegg. I've read a lot of complaints about UPS Mail Innovations Destination RPF. For the time being you should put a disclaimer on here saying "estimated shipping date a month out from time of order".

5 out of 5 eggsDoes the trick

Pros: Installation was straightforward and worked the first time
No BSOD, lock-ups, etc
Non-USB3 cards, devices go faster on it than usual

Cons: None yet. Hopefully it stays stable.

Other Thoughts: Not really sure just how fast everything I have is rated to go, so I won't speculate. It does speed up USB2 devices, which is a perk.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy install. Drivers updated with no problems thru Windows update. Works great as I’m not having any connection issues and with the usb3 drives as I did with the Siig combo. Now we'll see if it last longer than Siig's. Provided the two usb3 ports needed for my Silverstone front panel addon. Speed is as good and sometimes better than my onboard rear usb3 ports.

Cons: None so far!

1 out of 5 eggsMay Just Be Defective

Pros: N/A

Cons: Installed this on a Windows 7 64-bit PC for use with case-mounted USB port. Windows detected it but that's the end of it as nothing plugged into the case USB ports work. Tried powered external hard drive, SD reader, and even a regular USB stick.

I know the case connector works as I've tried other brands of PCIe cards. However, this is the only card with two external USB 3.0 connector so I couldn't use the single port SIIG or StarTech.

Hopefully, I merely got a defective unit. Will know in a few days.

5 out of 5 eggsGood....But Missing Drivers

Pros: Small footprint. Fits into crowded motherboards.

Cons: Divers on the CD did not work with Win 7 64-bit. Had to go to the product webpage to download the current driver and installer.

Other Thoughts: Comes with low profile bracket for those in need of same.
