It works, but...
Pros: - It functions.
Cons: - This card, however, isn't fast (and I kinda figured this would happen going in).
Other Thoughts: On a 66MHz PCI bus, this probably could keep up, but mine transferred just as fast (~30MBps) on the built in USB 2.0 on the computer I was intending to use it in.

Works great on old pc
Pros: 4 extra usb 3.0 ports! Fits in a small form factor case and includes half height adapter plate. NEC chip reliability.
Cons: Not true usb 3.0 speed due to the limitations of the PCI bus itself(so not really a con)
Other Thoughts: The PCI bus can only transfer data at 1.5gbps max. and that depends on what flavor of PCI is on your mobo. So don't expect to get 5gbps speed from this card. I use this with the Buffalo turbo pc and turbo copy with my 1TB external usb 2.0 and 3.0 hard drives and my data transfer speed has more than doubled since installing this card. In order to install this card correctly in windows XP do not let windows install the driver automatically! Instead insert the cd and manually navigate to the USB 3.0 host folder, then open the NEC folder and double click the installer program. Restart the computer and you should be good to go.

PCI slot speed
Pros: Has 4 ports.
Cons: Can't do USB 3.0 speeds, by design.
Other Thoughts: Be aware this USB 3.0 PCI Add-On Card is using the PCI bus. Not PCI-express x4 or x16. So it's limited to PCI speeds. Don't expect a lot of speed.

Pros: Easy to install.
Cons: For some reason, I'm not getting USB 3.0 speed with a Western Digital My Passport external hard drive (the only USB 3.0) device I own. When I plug My Passport into the card, a message appears on the monitor, telling me the My Passport device will give faster speed if I plug it into a USB 3.0 port. That's what I plugged it into.

Pros: It looks nice and the idea is cool...
Cons: It is basically not working. I connected it to an empty PCI slot, connected the power cable (tried both SATA and the floppy power cable), installed the provided drivers (which by the way installed "successfully") and everything looked awesome until I connected anything to the USB 3.0 ports (any USB device not only high speed devices; I connected more than 10 different devices). Then, following few seconds, a message appears that basically it cannot recognize whatever I connected to the device. Device manager says that the device cannot start. I spent a full weekend trying to figure this out but I am DONE. I am sending it back...
Other Thoughts: Just do not buy it...
