1 out of 5 eggsDid not work at USB3.0 speeds

Pros: Worked at USB2.0 speed.

Cons: Didn't get above the USB2.0 speed. Returned and bought a SYBA hub, which works great.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great for me

Pros: I have had this unit for over a month now and it still works great. In fact I came back to buy another one and am disappointed that it is now out of stock.

I recently copied a large file between two hard drives and had a transfer speed of over 120MBytes/Sec, much faster than USB 2.0 (the speed could have been limited by the drives or the computer so please don't think this is the max speed of this hub).

I have also run one bus powered SSD drive though this hub without a problem. I am also running a USB 2.0 hub off of this hub (for my mouse, keyboard and iPhone) and it does not appear to slow down the USB 3.0 speeds (nor should it). My iPhone also had no problems syncing through it (it was plugged directly into the USB 2.0 hub since it is a USB 2.0 device).

It's a hub, what else can I say other than it does a good job of transferring data.

Cons: The upstream USB 3.0 cable that comes with it is less than one meter (between 18" and 2 feet).

Other Thoughts: FYI, if you are planning to run a USB 2.0 hub with any USB 3.0 hub, always plug the USB 2.0 into (downstream from) the USB 3.0 hub. If you plug a USB 3.0 Hub into a USB 2.0 hub (or any USB 2.0 port), then the devices plugged into the USB 3.0 hub will only run as if they are plugged into a USB 2.0 HUB. This may seem obvious when one thinks about it, but I am sure there are people who are wondering why their USB 3.0 devices are not running at USB 3.0 speeds after having implemented this improper configuration.

1 out of 5 eggsAbsolute Junk

Pros: The price seemed right (but junk at any price is still too much!)

Cons: I bought 3 of the hubs to upgrade my external USB drive connectivity. Each of the 3 units are so flakey that they will all be returned - consider them DOA out of the box. The uplink connector is so lose that any movement or jiggling causes it to loose connectivity. The connecting cable is REALLY SHORT and the micro-USB3 connector on it is just not stable enough (Other USB3 hubs use the square B type connector).

5 out of 5 eggsworks as intended.

Pros: works just fine. file copies between two drives connected to the hub go at FULL speed thanks to usb 3.0 having dedicated up/down lines.

Cons: provided usb3.0 micro cable is a bit short (about 2 feet).

Other Thoughts: did the job but wasn't stunning.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: It reads USB 2.0 thumbdrives

Cons: I got this hub to use with my USB 3.0 thumb drives. When connected to this hub the blink for a few seconds then go dark. The system never even recognizes when they get plugged in. The thumb drives work in my 3.0 ports on the system as well as its 2.0 ports. I set up an RMA but it will cost me $10 to send it back for a replacement. Nuts to that.

5 out of 5 eggssatisfied customer

Pros: compact usb-3 hub powers my most power hungry portable drive. works at all the speed my computer is capable of handling. In my case the exceedingly short cord works in my favor as I only wanted to bring my usb-3 ports to the front of the computer without increasing the "cord clutter"

Cons: description calls out a ONE METER cord but the actual cord is only half that long

Other Thoughts: I was satisfied enough with this item to buy a second one for another computer

4 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: Small
Works

Cons: Cable advertised as 1m (3'3"), it is 2" exactly. Could make a big difference for a lot of people.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: None that come to mind.

Cons: The USB cable that connects the unit to your PC is barely 2 feet long. It will barely reach the top of my desk from the PC sitting on the floor = FAIL.

No LED indicator = FAIL

For whatever reason it seems to interfere with wireless transponders for mice and keyboards causing super laggy responses.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this from a horrible computer store at the PanAm shopping center in Fairfax, Va and will be returning it tomorrow. Btw this store in the PanAm shopping center in Fairfax, VA hires terrible sales people and the customer support is probably amongst the worst I've ever experienced. I recommend boycotting that store; and NEVER get your PC serviced there. Play it safe and order your products from Newegg; but I cannot recommend this particular USB hub.

2 out of 5 eggsDoes not work with iPhone's for some odd reason

Pros: Small, USB 3.0, 3 slots, works with everything but iPhone.

Cons: For some odd reason will not work with my iPhone and its frustrating as it is my daily used device. Absolutely stupid big fail on inland.
