Some Good & Some Not So Good
This review is from: Sonic Roxio Creator 2010 Pro - ESD
Pros: A lot of very nice features, and most work without problems. Great for duplicating audio discs. No problem ripping, even from 2 drives at the same time. You can select any and all aspects of "Artist", "Album", "Track Number", for filling of the ripped songs. Easy to install. Works with XP/Vista/ & Win 7.
Cons: I bought this as an upgrade from Ver. 7 which according to Roxio will not work with XP/Vista/or Win 7 due to software changes in those operating systems. Well I can no longer access my .jwl (labels) because this version does not work with previous versions regarding labels. It also will no longer create cd2 (Roxio Image Files) of audio discs as backups to be stored on the hard drive. Only ISO and GI formats can be created, but it will read cd2 files. Another sign of forward thinking in an upgraded version, not! It is not bad enough to say that it really sucks, but it is very frustrating to use.
Other Thoughts: If you want to create a label and ask the program to "Get Information From Disc" it will only read the number of tracks on the disc, but no album, artist, or song titles. But if you choose to "Rip" the disc, then all of the correct information is displayed, but you can not get that information to the Label Creator program unless you go to a lot of manual work including copy and paste the list of songs from the "Rip" screen to the label screen. Somebody did not do a very good job of designig this, or intergrating the different applications to work with any of the other included applications, and then they designate it as a "Pro" version.
