4 out of 5 eggsBe prepared for storms and power outages!

Pros: Crystal clear HD signals no matter what. Also works great with Dish/DirecTV receivers and DVR's for added storage. This can also be used with most gaming consoles.

Cons: The antenna itself. There are times when you have to carefully move the antenna around a certain part of your room at a certain height, it does magnify with box fans to try to get any better signals. Other cons can include confusion for those that need help installing this device to their desktop/laptop, at least for the first time.

Other Thoughts: I mostly keep small things like this in handy in case of a power outage. Most power outages are caused by strong to severe weather. And if that happens, my laptop battery is already charged and the software that came with this USB tuner is already installed. I can then use my laptop as a simple TV and watch any local stations (including those that does live weather coverage) so I can stay alert.

The government will tell you only the basics you need to know in order to be prepared for the storm. But the government doesn't know there are tricks like this! If you're smart enough, you can buy this or any other USB tuner you see here and use it when you need it!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: I bought this to use as a backup when the power goes out due to a storm or other reasons. I live in tornato alley and this works great with the stock antenna down in our basement storm shelter. We live about 25-30 miles from the closest TV station and we pick up stations that are up to 75 miles away on good day. I would not hesitate in buying this product again.

Cons: none

1 out of 5 eggsNo working drivers to be found

Pros: Low cost

Cons: Couldn't get to work

Other Thoughts: The CD came with no working drivers. Both windows XP and Vista could not find drivers for this device, so I had to find them myself. Went to the website and found drivers that meet the qualifications of both computers. Driver install failed in both cases. I see that this device is version 3 and the drivers on the website are v1-v2. This company needs to get this issue figured out fast or every review will be like mine.

1 out of 5 eggsWaste of Money

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Doesn't work! The driver would refuse to install. kworld's website is a joke, they only offer drivers - which don't work - and a manual. There is 0 customer support on there. Don't waste your money or your time with this worthless product.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA Like Many Others

Pros: DOA - - - -None, Zero, Nada, Zilch

Cons: DOA - The computer would not even register that it was in any USB port. Tried in multiple computers.......Nothing.

Other Thoughts: After reading the reviews, it seemed like the main issue was wearing out due to overheating. However, many DOA's were noted. I was one of the "lucky" DOA recipients.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: Great price for over the air HDTV tuner! I have an antenna in my attic, connected to a three way cable splitter, connecting three of these USB tuners to my PC. They all perform great. I don't pay for cable TV any more, because there is enough good TV over the air and on the internet. Works beautifully with Windows Media Center as a DVR.

Cons: Windows doesn't auto load the driver, you have to point it to the CD-ROM.

Other Thoughts: I have not attempted to use the ClearQAM function, as I do not subscribe to cable/satellite TV.
