1 out of 5 eggsIt plugs in fine..

Pros: Shipped to me quickly thanks to newegg, and it fits into the USB port but those are the only pros here.

Cons: Won't detect any channels and kworld's technical support and customer service isn't the least bit helpful...you leave a message on their answering machine and they never return your calls.

1 out of 5 eggsBuyer Beware

Pros: Great stocking stuffer for "Frienemies"
Would make a great shim for a functional TV that wobbles.

Cons: Does not work
Incites rage
Crushes will to live

Other Thoughts: Plain and simple, it just didn't work. Scanned channels, no channels found. Hooked it up to cable, same result. I've been had. Too much cost/effort to send back.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what it should and does it well

Pros: I've been using one of these for over 5 years with Windows 7 Media Center to pull in signals from an antenna. I recently purchased and added a 2nd one of these tuners - so now I'm running 2, which allows me to record 2 shows at once. Media Center supports multiple tuners, but it took a little while to get it to work with my 2 KWorld tuners since they are different versions using different drivers.

Cons: Newer versions use different drivers than older versions..

Other Thoughts: Works great with Media Center. Having these allowed me to cut out Satellite about 5 years ago.

4 out of 5 eggsStill working

Pros: cheap...still working well after 4 years

Cons: Installation could be clearer.

Other Thoughts: I bought this in 2010, and it has worked quite well on a number of computers. KWorld stuff can be pretty iffy, but this one has been good to me.

2 out of 5 eggsGet what you pay for.

Pros: Worked for a few months. Was able to capture the super bowl with it and watch it later with my Dad.

Cons: Stopped working after a few months use. Scans but never finds any channels.

1 out of 5 eggsCouldn't get it to work

Pros: Not sure because it wouldn't work. Return process was easy.

Cons: I couldn't make this work. Re-installed drivers many times and nothing.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy for the price

Pros: Works with Windows Media Center. Easy installation via USB

Cons: The included software is old but I was not really planning on using it.

Other Thoughts: I am pretty sure my cable company messed up. I do not officially have cable (just internet) but I was getting the HD network channels. One day they went away so I thought my ancient ATI TV tuners finally died so I ordered this tuner to try it out. I hooked this up and I was able to pick up 60 digital channels including HBO and Cinemax. I should not be getting any of these channels which is why I am sure my cable company messed up (but I will never tell them). Likely this will not happen to you but it is a nice TV tuner and I would recommend it. With all the extra channels I am getting, I might even have to pick up a second one.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: it's cheap and will work on older platforms

Cons: does not work on windows 8/8.1. The website is a huge pain to deal with and locating drivers on it is not the simplest of tasks. It plays for a couple minutes on windows 8.1 before the screen turns black.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy this product. I'd recommend to get a wintv that actually works.

1 out of 5 eggsImage freezes on Windows 8.1

Pros: Beautiful user interface.
Easy to setup.

Cons: I have a brand new Windows 8.1 (64) i7 with 12GB RAM and the image freezes or blacks out at times.

I updated witht he latest drivers, but there has been no improvement.

I have not been able to determine what causes this.

Other Thoughts: 1. Would a tuner card perform better?
2. Is there a more reliable usb tuner brand?
