4 out of 5 eggsCool Beans

Pros: Nice price, fast free shipping.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I love reading reviews about products on this site, how people have horrible things to say about products and how they break in ten minutes. So far everything I have purchased on this site does what it is suppose to. But hey, stuff happens, that is to be expected with any purchase online or in a brick & mortar store. It's stil funny as heck reading some of these reviews. (^_^)

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Works on windows 7 64 with windows media center. I can watch local channels now.

Cons: Its only digital, I was hoping to hook up my old VHS player to transfer some old movies over, but the vhs player is analog. Oh well, no big deal, I ordered another device for that.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for OTA

Pros: This is my second purchase of this product. i have had this product for a few years. I recently purchased a second usb tv stick because I was getting tried of paying for cable tv. Now, with this tv stick I get almost 20 plus channels for free( location does determine how many channels you can get). I am get channels like bounce, get tv, abc, fox, cbs, cw, my 68,tbn, etc. Then just buy netflix and /or hulu for the rest of the shows. Im saving about $80 a month now.

Cons: Not really a con but if you are live in a moderate to bad location you will need a antenna with an amplifier to pick some channels.

Other Thoughts: If you dont have a cd rom/drive, you will need to down drivers and software from makers website. I recommend just using Windows Media center with this device.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well with Linux OS

Pros: Works well with Win7 64 bit on a Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.2Ghz cpu, notebook computer
Works well with Linux Mint 17, Kernal 3.16.13, with Kaffeine media player and Intel Core I3 1.33Ghz cpu, notebook computer
TV Tuner software, supplied on DVD works OK, on Win 7 64 bit
Tuner seems to work about the same as the tuner on my HD TV, at bringing in tv channels and playing them.

Cons: Unit gets quite warm during operation.

Other Thoughts: Note: I am only using this unit for receiving over the air HD TV stations.
I don't have cable TV, so I can't comment on the QAM performance.

The unit I received was a Kworld 435Q V3, which appears to be the most recent version of this model.

Quick delivery to Lindsay, ON

Very pleased, at this point, with the performance of the item.

5 out of 5 eggsTwo Working Great!

Pros: I got the ones that work good with recent Linux distros and MythTV. Good and fast tuning.. Turns red when in use. Will buy more of these soon.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Had to use with USB 3.0 ports in Linux because they are V3... bulk mode transport. Haven't tried them in Windows at all...

1 out of 5 eggsIt plugs in fine..

Pros: Shipped to me quickly thanks to newegg, and it fits into the USB port but those are the only pros here.

Cons: Won't detect any channels and kworld's technical support and customer service isn't the least bit helpful...you leave a message on their answering machine and they never return your calls.

1 out of 5 eggsBuyer Beware

Pros: Great stocking stuffer for "Frienemies"
Would make a great shim for a functional TV that wobbles.

Cons: Does not work
Incites rage
Crushes will to live

Other Thoughts: Plain and simple, it just didn't work. Scanned channels, no channels found. Hooked it up to cable, same result. I've been had. Too much cost/effort to send back.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what it should and does it well

Pros: I've been using one of these for over 5 years with Windows 7 Media Center to pull in signals from an antenna. I recently purchased and added a 2nd one of these tuners - so now I'm running 2, which allows me to record 2 shows at once. Media Center supports multiple tuners, but it took a little while to get it to work with my 2 KWorld tuners since they are different versions using different drivers.

Cons: Newer versions use different drivers than older versions..

Other Thoughts: Works great with Media Center. Having these allowed me to cut out Satellite about 5 years ago.

4 out of 5 eggsStill working

Pros: cheap...still working well after 4 years

Cons: Installation could be clearer.

Other Thoughts: I bought this in 2010, and it has worked quite well on a number of computers. KWorld stuff can be pretty iffy, but this one has been good to me.
