Pros: I bought the UB445-U2 to do one thing: to watch local channels rather pay those ridiculous cable prices. It does what I need it to do and more.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I would try the software that it comes with and Windows Media center and see which is best for your needs. I personally like Windows Media Center better.

Pros: I was able to get all the good channels in my area CBS,NBC, FOX, KTLA, and ION. I can watch about 40+ channels but as long as I can watch all the major networks, I am happy.

Cons: None really in my opinion

Other Thoughts: I think it is better to use Windows Media Center than the software it comes with at least in my case windows media center works perfect

Pros: the screen capture portion of the device works

Cons: won't scan channels, just scans the same channel over and over, if I disconnect the device I lose audio, had to reinstall drivers and total media, total media center buggy -- in particular doesn't remember many of the settings.

Other Thoughts: Thought this was a good deal for $30 bucks, still hoping for a driver and software update from the site but nothing yet

Pros: Pulls in 22 channels, including local CBS,ABC,NBC,FOX, and The WB. Easy to install. Mine came with Video editing software and the remote control. The signal is strong and HD quality. I was able to watch parts of a bowl game New Years Day at work. This on my 3 year old Acer dual core notebook. It worked better than I even anticipated. Not sure why the others had issues?

Cons: None really, especially for the money.

Pros: none

Cons: messed up computer settings where antivirus and media center would not work. Cost 40% to send back. Very disapointed whit newegg.

Other Thoughts: Just purchased a new Lenova computer and wanted to add this tuner to it. Windows could not find drivers, so inserted the enclosed cd. Had nothing but problems with computer since. Don't waste your money on this.
