5 out of 5 eggsWorks Like a Charm!

Pros: This is an very inexpensive 4+1 USB card that was plug and play in my Mac Pro (2.8 GHz-8 Core) running 10.5.6

Great Price!

Cons: Nothing except there's no indication in the included documentation that Mac OSX will work.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not work

Pros: It shipped fast. It's a PCI E.

Cons: Will not work. I own Windows Vista. ASUS Motherboard. I have tried installing it three times... my computer will boot up but will not recognize the card or the usb ports...

5 out of 5 eggsWorks in my G5

Pros: Price
Works in my PowerMac G5 (late 2005 model)
Did not require driver installation

Cons: Haven't encountered any yet

Other Thoughts: I was looking to increase the number of USB ports in my G5. I considered a more expensive model, but thought I'd give the less expensive version a try. I installed it, booted, and it came up fine. Is recognized in Apple System Profiler. Am currently using it with a Pantone color calibrator.
It has an internal power connection which I did not utilize. I have not tried using it with a bus-powered USB hard drive, but it reads my USB pen drive fine.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, works!

Pros: Just bought a new Mac Pro, needed more than the 3 USB ports in the back. Took the recommendation from another reviewer for this product that this product worked great with the new Mac Pro.

Plugged it in, powered up, no hitches, works great. Highly recommended, especially the price!

Cons: It doesn't have 5 ports? It wasn't cheaper?

Other Thoughts: Great product, no hassles and works.

2 out of 5 eggsKilled my system.

Pros: If it works I will be grateful for the small size.

Cons: System was working fine. Shut it down and took my old USB 1.1 card out. Restarted the system to make sure nothing bad happened. Everything worked. Fine. Installed the software as per instructions. Shut down computer again. Put the card in. Hit power button. Nothing. Dead. Pulled card out. Hit power button and it boots just fine. Did this three times in a row. The card always screws up my computer.

Other Thoughts: Am not unhappy. It was a cheap experiment. And since I dont have any other PCIe 1X cards to swap with, for all I know it could be my own system.

5 out of 5 eggsPlug n Play--works great!

Pros: Cheap n Cheerful--plug n play! I needed USB 2.0 ports on my ASUS P5LD2 mobo. I plugged it into the PCIE slot, connected the 4 pin molex power, booted into Windows XP SP2 and hardware was auto installed--no additional drivers needed. I was pleased with the no fuss installation. Jammed my usb hard drive, camera, and Blackberry in and files were flying!

Cons: Wish it had pins/jumpers instead of an actual internal USB port so I could connect to my front USB bay, but I can workaround...
