5 out of 5 eggsEasy as pie

Pros: It works as advertised

Cons: None that I've discovered

Other Thoughts: The card install is simple and straight forward. I know this may be painful to so many people, but you need to read the instructions! The driver disk does not auto install. Pick the folder of the model card you have (UGT-PC345) and install those drivers, Reboot and enjoy. I chose this card because the internal header matched what my new case provided. The motherboard is an older Asus P5N7A-VM running Windows Vista. So far, no compatibility issues.

5 out of 5 eggsFast, Small, Easy

Pros: After looking over the other companies products they all had a review of burning up connected drives, I've recommended this USB 3.0 PCIE too two other friends and neither of us have had a drive go bad. Gives you faster speeds, what could be better.

Cons: Make sure to keep the box long enough to install the drivers. Has the ID somewhere on the bus but easier to look at the box.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Upgrade

Pros: - Easy and hassle free installation. Installed driver, plugged the card in to a pci-e slot, and it was good to go.
- A lot faster than USB 2.0. I ran a test copy for a 3GB movie. USB 2.0 took 2:20. USB 3.0 took 0:40.
- For only $25, i upgraded my USB 2.0 motherboard to USB 3.0! Huge performance gain for so little money.

Cons: None.

1 out of 5 eggsGot issues after 2 months

Pros: It got additional USB 3.0 port via the Internal 20-pin connector Ports for a total of 4 USB 3.0 ports

Cons: -Have to install drivers from CD because online drivers don't work
-Broken after 2 months

Other Thoughts: Since I rebooted my computer it doesn't work anymore.

-Tried unplugging re-plugging my devices
-Tried re-installing the drivers/software from the CD

It does provide power, I can charge my phone but it can't detect my usb drives

no dice

5 out of 5 eggsWorks with Linux

Pros: Works with CentOS 6.5 (Kernel 2.6.32). Tested with an external USB3 disk drive, works well.

Cons: Power connection required, and this messes up the look of the insides. This went inside a large server chassis (Supermicro 6047), and I needed a Molex extension cable to hook up to a power supply.

Other Thoughts: Uses the NEC/Renesas controller chip.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: It worked out the box with Linux (fedora 20) 3.13.6-200; no extra drivers required.

Cons: Would be nice if it had more USB3 ports.

Other Thoughts: Would have been nice to have more ports, especially internal. I purchased this specifically because it has a 20 pin connector. I connected this to Thermaltake AC0031 USB 3.0 Support MS Slot, CF Slot, SD Slot,Extreme Slot, Micro SD Slot, M2 Port Multi-Card Reader (see http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820153002) and it just worked. Boy was it fast. I also connected to an external USB3 hard drive for testing, and that was fast as well. I would buy this again with no hesitation.

3 out of 5 eggsVANTEC 4-Port SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PCIe Host Card

Pros: Compact and easy to install.

Cons: Drivers were hard to install with out reading the model number off the card and then selecting from the enormous list of drivers on the CD. There should be a software on the disk that will auto select the correct driver for you

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as it should

Pros: It works great! I selected this card because of the great combo price I received. It was coupled with the VANTEC UGT-CR935 USB 3.0 Multi-Memory Internal Card reader which allowed me to have USB 3.0 in the front as well.

I'm getting USB 3.0 transfer speeds.

Cons: I can't think of any cons.

Other Thoughts: In other thoughts, It's an add on card so I'm struggling to come up with something that will help my fellow PC geeks find something useful in reading my review... Only thing I can think of is adding what system I'm using it in....

Gigabyte X79-UP4 (X79 chipset is the important part here)
I have it plugged into a PCIe x1 slot operating in 2.0 mode.

5 out of 5 eggsBest USB 3.0 PCIe CARD

Pros: Very easy to install, worth the money to upgrade to USB 3.0 on older Motherboard, mine is ASUS P5E3 Premium WiFi running Q9770. Put it n 16x PCIe.

Cons: Minor request for future card, is an LED status light of some sort to indicate PCB in active!
Would be nice if it on board power is a SATA molex versus ols type molex.

Other Thoughts: I have tried many USB 3.0 adapter and none seemed to work like this one, Esp. the internal hearder for your Front USB 3.0 ports, Awsome! Transfer rate are up to 99MB/s.
