This USB Display Adapter enables you to connect one more monitor, LCD or projector to a computer with a USB 2.0 port. Once the installation is done, the USB-attached monitor soon wakes up. No function key hassle to swap a second monitor. 4 out of 5 eggsGood stuff

Pros: -Plays HD video
-Better quality than the cheap adapters found elsewhere.

Cons: -If you're playing a video full screen, and move the mouse on the screen, the mouse cursor moves very choppily.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks for me!

Pros: Works out of the box. It takes windows about 30 seconds to start installing the drivers. Just wait; it'll happen.
I upgraded to Windows 10 and the drivers needed to be reinstalled, but again, it did so on it's own.
This device also works on my sisters laptop with Windows 8, on both a monitor and 40" TV.

Cons: Many other people stated that they had laggy video and problems seeing all their elements. I'm using a Lenovo G500 laptop with a Lenovo ThinkVision monitor, and I'm having NO cons whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: I'm about to purchase a second adapter, since the first one was for my sister's work-from-home computer.

2 out of 5 eggsrun away from all usb adapters

Pros: Quick way to add another video output.

Cons: The redraw on all these usb adapters sucks and customers complain about them. Only use if you absolutely have to.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little product

Pros: Works out of the box, no problem installing.

Cons: sometimes laggy, yet i'm running bunch of programs with a mediocre gateway desktop, so am not surprised

Other Thoughts: Needed an update plus a restart.

4 out of 5 eggsNot a bad piece

Pros: This adapter does what it is supposed to do.

It was incredibly easy to install on W7, plug and play.

No issues so far on the one PC it is working with.

Cons: It ban be a bit clunky to have on a desk at work, with all of the added cable and space.

It will be slower than a good vid. card, but sometimes that just isn't possible, so this works fairly well.

Other Thoughts: I am using this for some enterpise systems on W7, ended up ordering 4 total.

The PC's we are using have only one VGA and one HDMI output, unfortunately the monitors that we are using don't have HDMI so in order to run multiple monitors an adapter like this is necessary.

I am quite pleased with the way that it works, but it will not compare to an integrated card. With a better variety of outputs.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks with Mac too!

Pros: Inexpensive, bus powered, easy to install, responsive and works well even with video

Cons: Compatibility not clearly outlined

Other Thoughts: This adapter is compatible with Mac as well, the driver is just not included/shown on the website. It uses the standard DisplayLink driver which can be found by searching "DisplayLink driver Mac".

2 out of 5 eggsDOESNT WORK WITH SERVER 2012!!

Pros: Works great for 7x64 and vista

Other Thoughts: I have a file server at home that runs 24x7, with 20+TB of storage. I am all for cutting how much power it draws, so I bought this thinking that I could just use it to plug in when I wanted to locally administer the box, and remove the PCI-E x1 video card I had in there to save 25 watts of power. I did the swap, the device shows up in the device manager and software/drivers installed, but my dell display does not come on. I've tried vista, 7 and 8, and they all work, but server 2012 does not seem to make this work. I've tried other ports as well, but no dice. beware if this is what you're getting it for.

5 out of 5 eggsworks fine

Pros: good price
works fine with windows 7 64bit

Cons: a little hard to install driver

Other Thoughts: I bought this converter to add 4th screen to my computer,
and it works pretty well. Got 1920x1080 resolution and
color is also not bad. Can play youtube videos and flash on web pages, so all in all exceeded my expectations

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: No bad. i know it states "provides superior video quality at resolutions of up to 1920x1080. " but im only getting 1280 x 1024. Has a nice control panel that integrates with Windows 7. Tried for hours to get working with Linux with little success. Better then other adapters ive purchased.

Cons: None really..does what it says.

Other Thoughts: Just wish it worked with Linux. Using this for my 6 monitor deployment...3 more to go ;)

3 out of 5 eggsNot very good, would not recommend

Pros: easy installation (duh -its USB)

Cons: not compatible with many programs, especially visual studio
Firefox has to have many settings changed for it to work ( Hardware acceleration, etc) also the same with Flash and Silverlight.

even then, video works poorly.

part of the screen is cut off.

Other Thoughts: best application:
use for viewing IE, files in NotePad ++ and PDF while you continue to work on your REAL monitor
