Works as advertised
- Pros: Crystal clear picture, able to set the video rate to just about anything (using Beyond TV).
- Cons: Max audio rate is 224 kbps, but I'm not sure what the audio bandwidth is on cable, so this may be of absolutely no significance
- Other Thoughts: The included drivers won't install on my box (3.2GHz Pentium IV, XP Pro) so use the PVR550 drivers instead.
- Pros: NONE
- Cons: Have had this card since May and as of yet, NO USE!!!!!
- Other Thoughts: Diamond can't even get it to work! Diamond puts out stuff that THEY should support, not depend on someone else! Was always happy with Diamond before this episode.
No cumminication
- Pros: Cool supposed features.
- Cons: Extremely poor documentation and support. After the software installed and said I needed to e-mail the company about a codec, I sent numerous e-mails with no response.
- Other Thoughts: I am in Iraq right now, which makes product difficulties hard to deal with. It would not be so bad, but I have sent at least 10 e-mails to the company in the last month with absolutely no response. Their software will not uninstall without entering Safe Mode, as well as using a registry cleaner. I tried using their website, but the small amount of help they have is limited by poor website design. Only get this card if you have plenty of time and aspirin.
