1 out of 5 eggsIn my case - no go

Pros: With my HD 6970 ... none.

- On Newegg's side - superior order & shipping execution

Cons: Grainy color distorted monitor images from both mini display ports.

Going back to the Sapphire brand I used before. Fortunately, the 'egg still has them at a decent price.

Other Thoughts: For me, this just didn't work.

Newegg support was excellent assisting with an RMA question.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks... I guess

Pros: Works to get an extra display up via a displayport. Inexpensive and small as well. Works just fine with Eyefinity

Cons: Display flickers off frequently, noise in signal. Monitor constantly flashes off to no signal and back which gets very annoying very fast. Sometimes does this every 10 seconds, sometimes once an hour. Just seems to have a mind of its own.

Manufacturer Response:

What you are experiencing here may be an issue with the adapter itself or possibly with the card's MDP port. Try testing the adapter in another port to see if it continues and depending on your test results, the adapter may need to be replaced or the card.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works! Multiple Monitors Again

Pros: Works! Extended my desktop to a third monitor no longer limited to the 2 DVI/HDMI port on my Radeon 6950.

Cons: None yet!

Other Thoughts: Finaly have my triple monitor set up running again. been missing it since I upgraded from a dual card setup to the single Radeon 2 years ago. might buy more.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks with Eyefinity

Pros: Relativity inexpensive. Works with Eyefinity. Had to grab it because my old HD6850 had full size display ports.

Cons: Cannot really think of one.

Other Thoughts: Working well with an HD7850 and a triple monitor setup. This adapter is powering one of two 23" monitors in 1080P with a 27" main. Main running HDMI, one 23" on DVI, and the other 23" running to a mini display port with this adapter.

1 out of 5 eggsDisaster

Pros: None

Cons: DOA, as much as it applies to an adapter. Does not perform as an active adapter and of course forget about eyefinity support. Cheap packaging, you can tell it is no namebrand. I should have went with a real product, but wanted to save a few dollars. Now after paying for shipping and return shipping, and still having to buy a new one, I am totally dissatisfied.

Other Thoughts: Pap a few more bucks for a brandname product. Seriously!

Manufacturer Response:

If you were still in possession of this, I would have been happy to assist you. I can assure you that these adapters are active adapters and do not have any issue working in their intended fashion. The issues you encountered may have been able to be resolved, but now, we won't know.

We do thank you for having considered PowerColor as your Mini-DisplayPort provider. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly at jgaray@powercolor.com.

Thank you,

Jonathan

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nothing

Cons: I tried it on my 6990 and it nearly destroyed my graphics card, they later refused me a refund/return

its a waste of money

Manufacturer Response:

It is hard to see how this adapter will "destroy" a video card unless it is not being properly installed. Additionally, these Mini-DisplayPort adapters are made to fit exactly into the female receptacle of the video card. Unless you were incorrectly installing the adapter.

Additionally, if you were to attempt to contact us, you would find that our support is very friendly and helpful. Please feel free to contact me directly at jgaray@powercolor.com so that I may directly assist you with your issues.

Thank you,

Jonathan

5 out of 5 eggsEYEFINITY!

Pros: Relatively cheap. Worked out of the box. 5184x1050 resolution!!!

Cons: None really

Other Thoughts: This is not a detraction from PowerCooler...however, I wish they would make these adapters longer. I have my computer on the floor on the right side of my desk, the 24" ASUS LCD I used this for is on the left side of my desk requiring me to move my PC more to the middle...sigh. But it works Eyefinity with 3x1 LCDs is awesome...I did have to turn down settings in BF3 to low or medium...my poor HD6790's 1gb of ram couldn't handle 5184x1050 resolution! Widescreen wallpaper is cool!

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Worked perfectly for just over two weeks

Cons: After that it killed the monitor that was connected to and to top it off they only offered store credit(the 9 days it took in shipping came out of the return period)

Other Thoughts: All these adapters look there made by the same manufacture and re branded so i wouldn't say this fluke failure is powercolors fault. just make sure you buy thru a reputable reseller.

Manufacturer Response:

If you are still in possession of the product, please feel free to contact me for assistance at jgaray@powercolor.com and I will be happy to assist you!

Thank you,
