5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Functionality.

Pros: Adapter works perfectly. I have it in a Radeon 5570 and use it to enable Eyefinity across my three VGA only monitor.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: For those that are not in the loop (I had to research to find this out), Eyefinity ***requires** the use of the DisplayPort connection on the card. So if you don't have a DisplayPort monitor, you will have to convert to another type. For those of us with VGA/D-Sub only monitors, this means an adapter like this one. And it works great!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks, cheaper than other active adapters

Pros: Works exactly as advertised.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I've now got three monitors set up using a single Radeon 5850 card. I've read reviews saying that you absolutely must get one of those $100+ active adapters that plug into the wall outlet to get that set-up to work, so I was a little scared that this was too good to be true. But it works as advertised, and I'm now sporting three monitors.

5 out of 5 eggsBought for Eyeinfinity

Pros: Works well with my XFX HD5870 card. Using this dongle to hook up a VGA output to a third Samsung 22in LCD. Windows 7x64 with latest drivers.

Cons: Not intuitive setup for ATI Catalyst Drivers, had to look around online for proper setup.

Linux support is problematic. Supposedly able to do 3 x monitor with latest drivers, still trying to get it to work.

Other Thoughts: I would hold off on getting this device, there have been recent announcements of Displayport to DVI (passive) compatible with Eyeinfinity to release this fall.

2 out of 5 eggsDisapointing

Pros: It does work ...

Cons: ... just not at advertised resolution.

Other Thoughts: Contrary to popular belief, you do NOT need an active adapter for DP -> VGA. However this model does not perform at it's advertised top resolution of 1920x1200. On one of my monitors it would not go that high at all. On the second monitor it works but it is very flaky.

5 out of 5 eggsIt Works... Just Took a Bit of Effort

Pros: This Does What it's supposed to do...

Much Cheaper than the Active DVI-DL adapters

It Does Support 1920x1200 Monitors

It Does Support eyefinity using three 1920x1200 Monitors

I Can NOT TELL THE DIFFERENCE between the DVI signal and the VGA signal.

The Build Quality Seems Good.

Cons: These Cons do not apply to this product but to The Companies Responsible for the confusion with eyefinity...

Namely ATI and Sapphire...

It was not made clear to consumers how complicated it is to make eyefinity work without brand new Displayport Monitors...

If You're looking at this page you've probably already Spent the money on your new Graphics Card and Monitors... But if you stumbled upon this, and are looking into an eyefinity setup, make sure you do your homework... Because eyefinity is a pain in the ***.

Other Thoughts: Here's My setup and How I made Everything Work.

My Graphics Card: Sapphire HD5970 4GB Toxic Edition
Two DVI-DL outputs and One Mini-Displayport

My Monitors: Three I-INC iF281D 28" Monitors (1920x1200) (HDMI / VGA inputs)

I have two hooked up with HDMI to DVI Cables.
The Third is hooked to a VGA cable, to this adapter, to a Displayport / Mini-Displayport adapter.

I Currently Have a 5760x1200 Desktop.
Eyefinity treats it as one Display
Games Play at this resolution.

Here's how I made it work.

1. Make sure CCC is updated to the latest version
2. Disable the two DVI monitors. Leave the Displayport Monitor Running.
3. Set the Resolution on the Displayport Monitor to 1920x1200.
4. Use the Extend option to enable the two DVI Monitors.
5. Set your Primary Display to one of the DVI Monitors (eyefinity won't work if your Primary Display is the Displayport Monitor)
6. Now you can use the Create Group Option to create a single 5760x1200 Display.

Eyefinity is Eyefinick

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for HD5XXX Cards/Eyefinity

Pros: Have eyefinity working across 3x 1280x1024 monitors (Dell 1801FP). Cannot tell a difference in image quality between the DVI and VGA monitors. All monitors wake up correctly after sleeping.

Cons: Only supports up to 1920x1200 (only a con if you want a 30" monitor hooked to this)

Other Thoughts: Finally a cheap solution to run an eyefinity setup

5 out of 5 eggsVery Satisfied

Pros: Like most of the other reviews mentioned, this worked right out of the box. Cheap solution to allow for three monitors eyefinity style. Very Simple. Im glad i made this purchase.

Cons: I can def notice a difference using the VGA as compared to the monitor connected with my DVI, but by all means the quality is still good for me. I think its wack i had to buy the freakin adapter in the first place.

Other Thoughts: I was pretty upset with ATI for not making this eyefinity setup clearer. I guess this wouldnt have been a problem if more monitors had display ports.

5 out of 5 eggsCheap eyefinity solution

Pros: Works as advertised
Cheap solution for eyefinity

Cons: None that I could think of

Other Thoughts: I was a bit skeptical when I bought this to use with my dell 2407wfp. It worked right out of box and allowed me to run eyefinity at 5760x1200 or 6048x1200 for bezel compensation. I haven't ran into any problems with this so far. Best and cheapest solution for eyefinity instead of having to purchase a display port monitor or a 100+ active display port adapter. Don't let anyone tell you different, this adapter is a active vga adapter. Definately works with eyefinity. Would definately buy again.
