TViX
- Pros: Unit works well. Latest firmware (05-16-2008) helps with ability to smoothly play many music formats. Many options require good tech knowledge to operate well.
- Cons: Network options do not work well. Software not user friendly. Best net work option is to use FTP to transfer to TVix drive & play.
- Other Thoughts: It is a wonderful unit overall and I love it. It's simply a jukebox for music and video. I have it attached to my 42in LCD using HDMI through my A/V stereo receiver HDMI passthrough. I definitely would recommend this to audio and Videophiles!
Save Money and time...DONT BUY
- Pros: Plays every format under the sun...sometimes
I got this b/c I have a home server where I store all of the household music and movies. The feature that really caught my eye was its ability to play ISO files over a network.
- Cons: When it works, its great, but most of the time it stinks. My house runs a gig network over cat6's everywhere. So streaming from one PC to another is a cake walk. If you can get the thing to turn on your doing good. If you can get the stream started your doing better. If you can watch an entire movie, you watching it from a dvd player, NOT this thing.
- Other Thoughts: SAVE YOUR MONEY! LOOK ELSEWHERE!
