Speeds are dependent on what lane you insert the card. 16x lane worked the best. SSD Corsair Force 3 sata III. Original r/w were 180 MB/s - 200 MB/s.....with the card: 209 MB/s - 205 Cons: Nowhere near as advertised on a Mac Pro system. Other Thoughts: I did not purchase this card to get Sata III speed on a Sata II system. I just needed to add a 5th internal drive to my system. I am currently running two of the same ssd's in Raid 0 and getting 423 MB/s - 400 MB/s.
