Supermicro lets you take advantage of the increasing capacities of 3.5" form factor drives with the SYS-6016T-MT 1U barebone server system. It is based on the new Super X8DTL-I motherboard and will accept up to 2 Intel Xeon processors with 2 or 4 cores each. To support all the processing power you can install up to 24GB of fully buffered ECC memory.
The front of the chassis has 4 hot swappable 3.5" drive bays. The motherboard has 6xSATA ports and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10. All these fit into a 1U chassis. The whole thing is powered by a high-efficiency 520W power supply so the system will get all the power that it needs.
