SUPERMICRO SNK-P0040AP4 CPU Heatsink & Cooling Fan for Xeon Processor 5500/5600 Series

Pros: Easy install, Have yet to exceed 47C even under stress tests. Normal temps are 27C to 33C

Other Thoughts: Installed on a Xeon E5620, Supermicro MB & Supermicro Case

Pros: Great heatsink, runs very quietly. Fits nicely in Supermicro X8DTL-iF. Running two processors with both heatsinks installed side by side.

Cons: The fan cables can be short sometimes.

Pros: Excellent heatsink for supermicro motherboards. Used successfully in Supermicro X8DTH-iF motherboard, with a 5600 series Intel Processor. Very quiet fan.

Pros: Perfect cooler for two XEON e5520 cpus installed on Supermicro X8DAi-O board

QUIET fan is running at 1650 RPM

Temperatures are under 40C at idle and no more than 62C under Prime-95

Excellent documentation - installation was a pleasure

Cons: this excellent product should be listed under "Fans and Heatsinks" not "Server Accessories"

Other Thoughts: High quality product: made up to tolerances, fits perfectly, not too heavy, heat paste pre-applied...

Highly recommended.

Pros: Low noise level. This is an excellent fan. Easy to Install. I am using the fans to cool two 3.33 Nehalems on a Supermicro motherboard. I am very impressed with this fan.

Other Thoughts: I should mention the computer is used for 3d rendering. 100 percent of 16 cores are used to render huge scenes. These fans not only keep the processors cool but they are quiet as well.
