JBOD
- Pros: Other than that it is a good card. Although I bought it for the ability to have JBOD functionality.
- Cons: Does not support JBOD even though it says it does
A note on getting the card with cables included from newegg
- Pros: Just a note on the previous review which states that this card doesn't have cables and you should purchase them from adaptec -- newegg has the card "Kit" for an additional $20 which does include the cables: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816103047&ATT=16-103-047&CMP=OTC-Froogle&nm_mc=OTC-Froogle&cm_mmc=OTC-Froogle-_-Hard+Drive+Controllers+/+RAID+Cards-_-Adaptec-_-16103047
This will be cheaper than buying the cables from adaptec.

Returned without Using
- Pros: Oops... This is a PCI Express-8x Card, which means that the new intel 965p chipset will not support this device if you have a video card in the first PCI Express slot. The second slot is PCI Express 4x only:( The Intel 965G will support this device if you do not add a video card. Check to make sure your have a 8x or 16x PCI Express slot.
- Cons: Never ran it:( Looks amazing, requires special cables which are NOT included. Adaptec site says cables are included, though Newegg does clearly mark this as having NO cables. Check with Adaptec on which cables to buy, but I believe they are SAS->4xSATA cables.
- Other Thoughts: Adaptec customer/sales/tech support is amazing. Helpfull knowledgeable, the best. I called all of the RAID card companies, and Adaptec gets a 10.
