Pros: does allow swapping or installing a hard drive easily. once metal rod is removed from back then just attach a hard drive with supplied screws and with front lever opened fully insert the drive and use the lever to seat drive. no effort involved. Cons: 2 trays cost almost as much as buying the SANS DIGITAL 2 Bay Hard Drive Storage Enclosure (Silver) - Retail which comes with 2 trays. Why does the trays cost as much as the encloser? Other Thoughts: SANS DIGITAL MS2T+ 2 Bay SATA to eSATA JBOD Hard Drive Storage Enclosure (Silver) - Retail with shipping is $72.19 or the SANS DIGITAL MS2U+ 2 Bay SATA to USB 2.0 JBOD Hard Drive Storage Enclosure (Silver) - Retail same price. (I got it when on sale for $56.20 including shipping) (black is $10 more). ONE tray cost with shipping $35.68 (that's $71.36 for 2) less then $1 difference between 2 trays and a 2 drive encloser (no drives of course). If nothing else can always keep the encloser as a spare.
